So here where I live we have this thing called Bayfest which takes place in July each year. Basically it's where we get different rock bands to come and play for us. A different band plays each night for the 4 nights that it's held for. It probably been around for about 10 years or so now. But I've only started going about 3 years ago.
The first year i went I got to see Staind who opened for Three Doors Down, awesome concert. Then the last day during the day I got to see Billy Talent almost a year before their 2nd cd was released, even got to hear one of their new tracks that was to be on their new cd as well. I loved it. I think Kid Rock was to perform later that night. Anyways, it rained that day.. it kinda sucked.
Last year I went to see Collective Soul and Everclear. Shortly after Everclear was done and Collective soul was to perform it started pouring out, so we shouted and jumped around in soaking wet clothes during Collective Soul, it was worth it though.
This year I got to see Nickelback! I nearly ended up crying when I heard Chad's voice start booming over the speakers. It was probably the best performance I went to yet... and that's after I stood in the pouring rain for two and half hours in line. I was actually soaked, the puddles in the park were knee deep and people were actually swimming in the puddle that was in the middle of the parking lot. But it was sooo worth it even though I was jumping around in very wet jeans. I thought i may have died being able to see them, i love their songs. Ha Hedley opened for them... I seriously think the singer is a homo, not in a mean way but in a "wow.. i think he likes guys" kinda way. sweatdrop
Well last night I got to see Aerosmith, I honestly have to say I thought it would've been better. It really wasn't that great and I only knew about 5 or 6 of the songs that were played. Kinda sucked really for me. I liked Nickelback's performance way better, they were more with the audience as well which was even better.
Anyways, so i wondered if anyone else has done something crazy like this or hell even just stayed outside in the pouring rain for whatever reason?
Besides that, anyone else ever been to a good concert that they just died for?

I have experienced rain and soggy pants (and underwear D smile , but I have not gone to a rock concert. D<

I only went to two concerts and stayed to the end of only one.
My very first concert, was one of my top three favorite bands, Radiohead. I went June 4th last year. It was amazing. They rock live, and even though my legs were killing me by the end, it was all worth it. The next concert I went to was the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. My three best friends and I were really excited to go see it. We love Red hot chili peppers and we were so psyched. Well, apparently they showed up late, at 10:00. The concert was supposed to start at 7:00. I didn't expect 7:00, 8:00 would have been fine, but 10:00 is too late. I'd assume they would play for 2-3 hours. Well my parents wouldn't let me stay that long. And one of my friends needed to be home by 11:00. So we tried to stand in line to get a refund, but the line was gigantic, and I would rather have stayed to watch the concert than go in line. So we left. My friend got home on time, as did I, but we missed out on the concert. We told our two friends who stayed back to not spaz and post on livejournal saying "ZOMG! THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZERING CONCERT EVA!" but they did anyways.
Ps. You might want to re-read the rules... Peasant says he dislikes when people add a list at the end to spurr discussion. If there is a point to the thread it will so that all by itself. It's one of the new updates. wink

We have something like that but it's called Subfest because It's on a submarine base in Groton CT. I went a saw the Scott Harris project And Sugar Ray! It was one of the best concerts ever! Sugar ray got 3 Encores and they threw there picks into the crowed! I can't wait to see whos playing next year.

Gotta agree, they do put on awesome performances, it was even better just because he was like, lets do what us canadians do best, drink! rofl And thanks for the heads up, i fixed it.

I'm supposed to go to the Indianapolis Warped Tour coming up on August 7, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen.
Just within the last two weeks, we had this terrible thunderstorm. It was the one day my friend and I decided to go down. We were right by the lake, so we were a little ways from town. So we got the brunt of the storm rolling in off the lake and we had to go, like, half a mile to get to town.
Our friend picked us up a few feet from town...
Then the power went out, we couldn't even go to the coffee shop. D:
It was kind of fun, though. xD

S T A T I C ! I'm supposed to go to the Indianapolis Warped Tour coming up on August 7, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen.
Just within the last two weeks, we had this terrible thunderstorm. It was the one day my friend and I decided to go down. We were right by the lake, so we were a little ways from town. So we got the brunt of the storm rolling in off the lake and we had to go, like, half a mile to get to town.
Our friend picked us up a few feet from town...
Then the power went out, we couldn't even go to the coffee shop. D:
It was kind of fun, though. xD O_O crazy. When I was waiting in line it started to thunderstorm so we got told to get at least 5 feet away from the fence so that we did not die or anything from the lighting.. it was kinda fun though besides being it getting cold and us already being soaking wet. what is suppose to play at the warp tour this year

Sangaroo I travelled 4 hours on a bus to see Placebo's concert it was effin great.... but someone stole my sister's wallet neutral Placebo in concert?? emotion_drool My first serious concert ever was Ladytron.. and my second was Silverchair (I died 20 million times that night.. I was SO close to Daniel Johns). Silverchair was a dream come true seeing as I had been listening to them since I was in grade 6, and when we found out they were coming to Toronto I crapped myself. Tickets were sold out within 2 hours sad My bf though.. e-mailed the coordinator, told them my story of enduring Silverchair love, and they sent us two tickets in the mail. The concert was the day after Valentines day. Talk about the most amazing V-day present EVER!
