Mushroom Rock Road was once home to the Youth League. Now however........


"The day goes on without any trouble!!" I heard one League Member complain.

"I believe that is good." Commander Lucil reprimanded him. I had to agree with Lucil. I'd had far too much trouble in my life.

"But this is boring!" The League Member said. "Now all we do is sit around and watch for Lady Yuna, Lady Leblanc, and Mevyn Nooj!!!"

Leblanc had been coming around a lot more lately. She and Nooj were officially a couple. I have to admit, they're cute together. But she gets a little more annoying when she's around him or talking about him.

"What about me, love?" Leblanc said, walking over. She brandished her fan elegantly.

"Just talking about how you and our Mevyn were made for each other." The League Member quickly corrected. This was something we had figured out. If you said that, you were out of trouble with Leblanc. Simple as that.

"Yes we are, thank you." She said imposingly.

I turned to Commander Lucil. "What does the Youth League do now, anyway?" I asked, unclear.

Lucil looked at me thoughtfully. "Actually, we're still looking for clues of Spira's past."

I shook my head. "Why don't you and New Yevon join together?" It made sense, since they were looking for the same thing.

Lucil looked at me gravely this time. "Some people still aren't getting along with New Yevon."

"But some people shouldn't stop everyone else!" I protested.

"Lady Yuna, you are wise, but perhaps joining with New Yevon could cause fighting again?" She suggested.

Leblanc stepped in. "If you're afraid of the future, you shouldn't be in it." She put bluntly. Personally, I couldn't have put it better myself.

Lucil bowed. "Your words have made me start to think of the future. By your leave, Lady Yuna." She said, then walked away.


2 days later, the Youth League disbanded, as did New Yevon. I'm still not sure if it's a change for the good or not. Paine says that it must have taken a lot of thinking to make that kind of decision. Paine holds a great respect for Commander Lucil.
