i got my upper ear pieced yesterday.
my friend and i walked into a shop called:
golden body rings
a man opened the door. he seemed to have a hard time focusing his eyes giving him a mildly insane look.....
after telling him what kind of ring we wanted and where he left to go prep his tools leaving us in a room full of strange antiques. there was also a jar with a rats head in it and 2 bottles filled with cremated people.
he came out from the back room and gave one loud clap. sisa and i when to enter the room.
turning the corner in the room was fairy creepy.
the floors were covered in black and white checker tiles like an old hospital...
there was a old operating table sitting in the middle of the almost bare room with metal table next to it with a pair of pliers , some needles, gauss, and q tips.
he told sisa she was to be first.
she shot me a panicked look and told him hat i was going first.
unsmiling he shook his head and told her he was all set up for her..
reluctantly she climbed up and laid down on the starel sheet of paper on the operating table.
he began cleaning her ear with a pink liquid.
sisa became more and more panicked and began crying and hysterically.
after convincing her to continue i watched him run a needle thru her ear fallowed by the metal loop. tears rushed down her face and she gripped my side.
now it was my turn.
he must have gone thru about 20 pairs of rubber glove because he was constantly changing them and keeping EVERYTHINK very very staral.
i laid down on the table. the lights were dim and the air was think with incents.
there was a small picture of a tribal looking sun pinned above me on the high white clean ceiling.
he pulled on a fresh pair of gloves:
snap.
holding my ear he pushed the sharp needle in to the cartilage if my upper ear. i gripped sisa's hand but never cried out.
i felt at it broke thru the skin and out the other side. the pain was new but not as bad as i thought it would be...
my whole ear then when warm as blood pooled from the open wound.
i am a bleeder. what can i say?
the ring now in he secured it with a single metal bead and i was done.
maybe i will get another one... same time next year.....
