Friday, June 15:

Every third Friday of the month our local public Library throws a special event for the teenagers of the community. It's called "Teen Night", and the Library closes down earlier for teens only. From 6 until 10 we run amok, playing video games and card games and generally having a blast.

However, tonight was a special night. It was Michael's birthday! I think it was wonderful timing. I mean, having a birthday on Teen Night is pretty rare indeed.

The night was spent with friends battling each other for the top bragging rights in our fury flinging tournaments in Super Smash Brothers. Hey, it can get pretty intense.

Folf managed to come down. He's our college bound friend of Joe's. He happened to fall off his deck a while back and shatter his arm. It's in a cast, and should be healing up nicely. Still, I couldn't help slyly doodling all over the thing. And, of course, I had to draw a peace symbol. I'm a hippy, after all!

But... being a hippy, that doesn't explain why I later drew a Shoop da Whoop...

Apologies. I digress.

Michael brought something interesting with him, something I've never seen nor tasted before! It's a bag of chips that you can only get in Canada. They were Lays, but ketchup flavored! I don't think a lot of people liked them, but I thought they were great! Yeah, you had to get used to them, but after a while they were really, really good. I was almost tempted to trying one with a little icing from Michael's birthday cake. I was afraid it would make me sick of the chips, so I wisely refrained.

I can see it now. Next time mom gets out a bag of chips, I'm going to be dipping them in ketchup. She's going to wonder about my sanity, for sure, but I know I'll end up doing it.
