My best friend in the whole wide world is going to have her birthday in 20 days! I have yet to pick out a good present to ship to her-she lives on the other side of the US. ;-; I don't know if I should get Saiyuki, or Case Closed.... She's a brilliant person, and is going to end up with an award when she gets something of hers published I'm sure of it. Case Closed(or Detective Conan for those that watch the anime) is a murder mystery with so many twists and turns, but doesn't seem to stick with a continuous plot line. They never get closer to who poisoned Jimmy... *sigh* I know she'd like trying to figure out who the badguy is.
Then Saiyuki has a lot of depth, beautiful art to it, and complex characters which is something we both have an appreciation for in any animation or writing piece. Besides, Sanzo is so much like her character Binx it's scary. >.O" I think I'm gonna go with Saiyuki, but I have to find Ghost in Shell because she wanted that manga as well. Wish me luck finding it!
