I flew with so many
at my first moment.
My wings spread wide
and I was sent.
I seperated from my fleet
and landed alone
on the soft, plush ground,
oh, and now i've grown.
I've stretched my arms out,
my legs have grown long.
Forever I've been here
with others I lived among.
Now they are gone
left me alone to the wind.
Its blow sometimes brutal,
but my limbs refuse t' rescind.
So here I stll stand,
giant among the ants.
Now the eldest of the old,
sturdiest of the plants.
I live among people.
They care for me well
with mulch and fertile soil
but for how long I can't tell.
So yes, sturdy, but old
and I plan to enjoy it
and watch the world pass by
while on this spot I will sit.
