Well, the subject may say "rant" but technically this is me being more sad than I am mad.... gonk
I hope I don't sound like a whiner baby, but ...I can't help it..it made me so sad I cried for a bit, even if it sounds dumb to everyone else..forgive me.. sweatdrop
*ahem* Well, nearly a month or so ago I created a cover for the SJ contest and was VERY proud of it!( Tis a picture of Luffy from One Piece holdinga paint brush while his face is covered on white and black paint, making him look like a skull and taped to his hat are paper bones. Get it? Skull and cross bones! >w< The backround is the beach, and I have a thing on the side that says: YU heart FAN ART and other stuff like that. ^^-)
whee I kept thinking to myself that even if I didn't win, as long as I could see my picture in the magazine I would be on top of the WORLD! 4laugh whee (ahhhh dreams whee ) I sent it in an envelope I drew Chibish YYH characters on the corners and hoped for the best.
TODAY do you know what I recieved in the mail?????
.....My envelope was returned, due to the fact I was missing one stamp. My mom had called the post office before we sent anything and they told her big envelopes needed only 2 stamps, so thats as many as I put on mine. However, when returned it said on it we needed 3..so I can't blame anyone but myself for the return, and I wouldn't blame anyone even if I could. I am just....sad. I worked so hard on that picture, and..heh well, this will sound odd, but I worked on it and colored it even and the next day my hand was sore.. xd sweatdrop That pain made me think I had done a good job. sweatdrop
Knowing that my art wasn't even LOOKED at is what kills me, for the contest ended 2 days ago. Knowing that, I am still gonna send it to the SJ just cause I worked as hard as I did on it, and I am proud of what I made. ^^- I know it can't be apart of the contest anymore but it might be apart of the fan art section. *Shrugs and nods* 3nodding So I guess I can hope for that at least. *nods*
Anyways, the next time I write in the journal it should be the newest entry to the story so, yes..YAY! 3nodding
