Christopher Higgins, drafted 14th overall in the 2002 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, is playing amazingly for the beginning of this new season. Chris was born June 2nd 1983 in Smythtown, NY. He and his family are huge Habs fans, so you can imagine how they felt when the so long loved organization took him in 2002.
Wearing the number 21 on the ice, his offensive skills has been unlucky these past few games. The scorer of the only goal in the game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs the 6th of October couldn't touch the net Tuesday against the Panthers. Even though he did not get any points, the ex-centre had 5 shots on goal and much more chances.
I, a big big Higgins fan, am disspointed in his stats but astonished in his plays with teammates Saku Koivu and Michael Ryder. He is now playing Lwft Wing with those players on the first line.
More later.
