7-4 Win
12:27 PM: Habs are playing Carolina tonight. Huet in net. And because he's in net tonight, Price will play against Pittsburgh. Cam Ward is expected to be keeping pucks out of the net for Carolina. Alex Kovalev will play his 1000th game. His will kinda be similar to Brian Smolinski's because Kovy played his first game against the Hartford Whalers, now the Carolina Hurricanes since 1997. Good luck, Kovalev!
7:58 PM: 5-1........ after one for Habs.... Isn't that beautiful?! crying <-Tears of Joy. 11 goals in 4 periods. People in Montreal already gets their chicken wings early... they must be happy! 800th point for Kovy on his 1000th game. Habs are on Fire!! burning_eyes Habs have been really disciplined and great on the PP. I think we scored on everyone of them. We are more as a team than we did last year after the 23rd December. Huet is still as good. I'm a bit dissapointed by Ward. I'd be loving this game if Higgins or Komi scored.
And thank god Gainey did not sign to many fighters!!!
8:54 PM: 6-2 Habs. This isn't a good period for the Habs. Why? Fear. We are afraid we will lose the lead and we make mistakes. Those mistakes brings frustration. Frustration brings anger. Anger brings unnecessairy moves. And that brings mistakes. It's all a big circle. But our PP is proving that we don't need Souray. Canes could have scored at least 2-3 goals. We are not playing as we should, applying pressure. And when we put pressure on the other team, they will enter the circle.
9:36 PM:Habs win 7-4. First time since last year in October against the Colorado Avalanche. If it weren't for the first period, Habs would have definitevly loss this game. 5 PP goal, one Shorthanded, one 5 vs. 5. Plekanec has 2 goals and 2 points, best in career, and Kovalev 1 goal. Huet was good but could have been better if the defense was better in the second and third. those 5 goals in the first period really got to our heads. Chipchura has his second NHl goal as well.
