"Atop the threshold, I await justice for those who have brought me pain. Justice, the kind that I cannot bring down on my own. Justice, a sweet melody of unforgiving memories. Justice, the truest way to solve any problems. A pity, therefore, that justice is one-sided. What can be justice for one is mere murder for another. Possibly torture, anguish…hell, even pleasure for those few sick minds. Not for us, however – we await the truest hand of justice, the noblest hammer, the loudest toll, the purist punishment. We know what is needed…we know how to attain what is needed…we know where to go in order to attain what is needed…and we will stop at nothing in order to go to attain what is needed.

So why should I have to wait? Why am I forced to be patient for an anguish that all suffer? I do not believe it to be the fault of family, friends, or political figures – however guilty any of them could be. The fault lies with me and me alone. I, indeed, shelter my own anguish, my own desire for a self-righteous justice. I cannot do so, however, for fear of bringing a new, different kind of pain and misery upon family and friends. It is unbearable to live like this, hiding one’s pain from the prying eyes of those loved. However, the mere scenario of a worse anguish being laid upon those I love spears my heart. Then, further pain is added upon me – a heavier weight is placed across my shoulders. My pain, my anguish, my desire for justice…cannot be met.

Therefore I wait upon the threshold of my anguish, awaiting the righteous justice to come down from on high. Sweep my soul clean of all pain and suffering, so that I may cleanse my ways and aid those I love. I ask this to a ghost of religion, a true Truth, the purist hand of justice and love.
