3-1 Loss
11:50 PM: This game is sooner than usual. It will start at 3'o'clock. Daniel Alfredsson has been great against the Habs, but the Canadiens has been playing great against good teams. Habs won their last game 2-1 against Boston while Ottawa lost against Washington 4-1 on the same day.
3:58 PM: 1-0 Habs by a goal of Andre Markov on a PP. I didn't really see all of the period but heard some on the radio. There seemed to have alot of fights though.
4:44 PM: 1-0 Canadiens after 2 periods. Habs have been playing great! Huet is the one that started everything with the great saves he made during the second period and on the penalty shot. Ottawa gradually took back some momentum in the last 5 minutes of the game and it gets even more intense. Refs have been blind on some sequences. I think that if Spezza was there, we'd have a much thougher time getting chances. Ryder has been ugly on the ice. Higgins is still unlucky but making may chances and turn-overs. Kovalev should come on the first line to help the scoring because he is playing as everyone knows he can.
5:50 PM: 3-1 Senators. Absolutely horrible last 10 minutes for the Habs. Two consecutive goal that led to the win. We were leading 1-0 but it is Ottawa after all. Maybe it went to our head, or we wanted to win in extremis... Alfredsson is scary... And I love that I took him! But why did he have to score and win the game. Huet was simply amazing in the second but bad on the tying and maybe unlucky winning goal for Ottawa. Habs played pretty well anyways.
My Three Stars:
1-Daniel Alfredsson 2-Mike Komisarek 3-Cristobal Huet
Next Game: Toronto Maple Leafs, November 13th
