Ugh... Old Journal Entries... I decidedly decided to snoop about your profile in chance to get to know you better. Alas , I ended up seeing a topic in your journal that I myself see as a problem.
I don't know if how I think would be considered as "too futuristic" or "too unrealistic" but either way...
It is my belief that Gay couples...are just people. They deserve no less than the rest of society (that's without saying how little it is nowaday...but that is another matter.) They deserve the right to get married. They have the right to be happy...and if they decide...the right to Adopt (Its not like the Adoption process would be any less easier...It's hard and stringent enough in the first place so if they're fit to be parent's , then they should be able to.)
I also have to agree that people that blow thing's out of proportion really make themselves seem a lot worst off then if they would act like normal people... In example , look at Obama's election. Most people voted because he was the right candidate. But many (Not all.) black communities blew it out of proportion...like we were having the civil rights movement just the day before. No. Obama is a capable man. That is why we voted for him. not because he was Black. The same applies to people that are considered "minorities" or whatever groups...racial ,religious or orientation. But you get a select few people that think this or that is a bright idea and they end up blowing it up bigger than they should and Society...is like a horse with blinders. The drama in front and the normal , everyday , respectable people are just not in view.
If anyone wants to be Religious. I'm Roman Catholic and God never said to judge others . It's not in any bible I know of that says you should Judge another. As a fact Im pretty sure it says only he can judge. Who are they to judge someone? we are all flawed. It's not right to be almighty and righteous and judge people just because there sexual orientation is a bit different...and I only say a bit because...what's really the difference? that there anatomy doesn't permit them to have children? so what? would a sterile couple be cast aside from adopting just because THEY cant have children together? I mean...come on. Aside from that... Love...trust...companionship... it's all the same... whether it's with someone with the opposite gender...or same gender. The sooner society realizes that , the sooner we take another step forward in the progress that is the human race.
