so my rant is on Mass Effect

basically this was on my 'list of games i should really play before X-mas comes' (on that list is Assassins' creed, Mass Effect, Stranglehold, NFS Pro Street, Orange Box, and COD 4 (Call of Duty).
now this game i have to say has great customization, nice graphics (though could've been better) decent story line, and lots of guns... well not as much as borderland when it comes but you get the picture.
what got me off this game is one tiny thing... IT'S BASICALLY KOTOR! (Star Wars: Knight of the old rebublic for you newbs out there) just without the light sabers, and the force and basically the entire star wars theme to it. what does Bioware do to counter this. no it's not vast amounts of enemies, no not better things (though customizable weapons and Armour is nice) but just make the area of exploration tenfold. i find the game play to be crummy and average for a shooter/RPG, it focuses to much on the RPG factor to the game. your squad mate actions are very limited from move there/follow me. once you get over the 'omg i can make my guy look like me and wear armour that changes depending on the make' and the 'omg I can choose my path to finishing the game and theirs mostly different dialoug when i press one choice to another' the game lacks fun.

only get this game if your willing to go through a Kotor 2.0 mod
