I decided to make a Christmas story for my other website, Deletion Quality.
Deletion Quality Lounge Christmas

I couldn't wait to get inside, and not because of the winter cold being about 10 degrees, but because of a letter in my hand, an invitation to a Christmas party in DQ headquarters that was being thrown by Oscar, Netrosis, and Black_Water. I took a present out of my car and I got out of my car and locked the door, I headed towards the door, and was stopped by the guards.
"Do you have an invitation?" The guard asked me.
"Yeah, I have it right here." I handed him the invitation, he looked it over to make sure it wasn't a fake.
"Alright, go on in, there will be 20 minutes until they hand out the presents." the guard said after standing aside.
When walked through the doors, I felt the lobbies heaters warm the cold air around me. I looked around and the lobby didn’t look much different than what it normally looked like. There was lights, red and green, lining the halls and rooms, they all centered on a huge pine tree in the center of the room. The lights wrapped around the top and curved to different directions and continued to cover the walls, it was hard to see if there were multiple lines of lights or if it was one colossal line of lights. The tree was at least 2 stories high, if it weren’t for the spiral set of the building, they would never be able to fit this in here without cutting it smaller. Popcorn lines and glittering plastic streams covered the tree. Huge ornaments and decorations scattered across the tree reflected light, a disco ball couldn’t do better.
Under the tree was presents, there were so many presents that you could make a house out of them. I went over to where the numerous presents laid under the tree. I sat mine under the tree, along side the others. I then went over and sat down in the couch near the tree, it too was covered in all sorts of festive shades of green and red.
"Pretty neat, huh?" Some one behind me asked.
I looked behind me to see TheOnlyHorse in a Christmas sweater and holding a mug full of eggnog. “Yeah, so how many people were invited to this?” I asked.
“Hmm, I’d say about 15, no, it was closer to 20. Anyways, It should be about an hour till every one gets here.” She explained, taking a sip of her eggnog. My eyes started to drift all over the place, my eyes stopped when I saw Draunia05 start to walk over to where I and TheOnlyHorse were. He walked past me and went to TheOnlyHorse and whispered something to hear too quietly for me to hear. After a while, Draunia walked through the crowd and disappeared.
“Opps, I forgot, sorry, but I have to go prepare something for we give out the presents, but I’ll make sure to talk to ya later!” She said walking off.
I thought to myself, ‘Hmm, I wonder what she’s preparing? I wonder, maybe it’s something for Oscar? Nah, no one really knows what Oscar would want... Maybe it’s a-…’, I was cut off when SilverPaperPlate came up to me.
“Hi Irish! How are you?” She said smiling very big.
“Oh, hi, I’m doing fine, um, but you’re acting kinda weird, are you ok?” I asked. I wondered why she was really happy…
“Yeah, I love Christmas! I’m always happy this time of year!”
“Ok, well, I’m gonna see what they have in the kitchen.”
“Ok! See ya, oh, and, um, Irish?”
“Yeah?”
“Um, you were thinking out loud again.”
“What!? Man, I gotta stop doing that…”
“Well, see ya later!” She walked off smiling.
“Man, she sure is happy on Christmas…” I said walking off the kitchen. I went through the door and the kitchen wasn’t really decorated except for a few Christmas cookie jars and some Christmas magnets on the fridge. I walked over to one of the cookie jars shaped as a snow man and took a few cookies. They smelled good and fresh, it made me wonder how long ago they were made. I went back to the main lobby, but instead of going back to the same couch, I went up a few floors until I got to the Showoff floor. I leaned over the railing and looked down and saw about the 10 people invited walking around. I started to eat the cookies I picked up and sat down on a couch near the stairs. I might as well wait for the others.
*Meanwhile in the Admin’s lounge*
TheOnlyHorse walked over the table at the center of the room, looking at a small wrapped Christmas box. “So, are we ready to show it?” She asked Draunia05, who was drinking a soda.
“No, we still have to wait for the others to get here before we can.” He said to her.
“Aw, come on, I wanna show it now! We worked really hard on it!"
“Don’t worry, we’ll show it soon, you just have to be patient.”
“Ok, but I wish things weren’t going so slow today…” She sighed.
*In the Showoff floor*
I finished my cookies and started to get bored, I looked at my watch and it has been about an hour and more people have arrived. “It’s been about an hour now, when will they start?” I wondered. Then I heard the announcement speakers over head turn on with a lively ding, ding, DING. “An announcement? It must be starting soon, I better get going.” I said to myself when I headed for the stairs that lead back down for the lobby.
The announcement stopped every one from what they were doing. “All invited member and staff please report to the lobby for the present give out…”
*In the Admin Lobby*
“…That is all.” TheOnlyHorse switched the flip and then the speakers turned off. “So, should we go show it now?” TOH asked Draunie05, who was still drinking a soda.
“Yeah, but let’s hurry, we don’t want to be late.” Draunia answered her.
“Alright!”, she cheered, “Finally, let’s go!” TOH walked over to the table and grabbed the present then walked out the door.
*back in the lobby
I walked down the stairs, back to the lobby. When I got down there, about 20 people were there, just like TOH said. There was a platform with a podium on top of it. I started to look at all the people in the crowd, there were a few people I did not know, but I could see a lot of people I know right away. I saw SilverPaperPlate, Bleach, MadderMadCat, DeadBrain, Mattbot23, Klawg, Aeterna, Zackie, and DeeTox. But I didn’t see Draunia05 or TheOnlyHorse.
Every one was whispering and talking so much I couldn’t tell what they were talking about. Finally, I caught someone’s conversation.
“So when are they going to show it?”
“I don’t know, but I hope it’s really cool, after all TOH and Draunia made it.”
What? Something that TOH and Draunia made, is it their “DQ Sleepover”? At that second, I saw Victory and Tawl walk up on to the stage.
“Alright people, Quiet down.” Tawl said to the crowd, but to calmly to where no one heard him.
“HEY! People! Shut up!!” Victory yelled. The crowd noise quickly fell after that. “We’re going to be showing you the opening to TheOnlyHorse’s and Draunia05’s flash, “The DQ Sleepover”.
That moment a door behind the podium opened up, and TheOnlyHorse and Draunia05 walked out from the back room. The crowd started to clap for them, TOH and Draunia waved back.
TheOnlyHorse walked up to the podium with a paper in hand and started to read from it. “Hi every one, me and Draunia05 have been working hard, and even with all the set backs and stabs to Draunia’s eye, we still made the opening on time. So I know you all want to see it already, so I won’t stall you, here it is!” She opened the present and it was a cd, she put it in a DVD player hooked up to a projector, all of a sudden, an instant TV came to life on the wall.

Draunia05 went over to a switch and turned the TV off and the lights on. It was bright at first, so I covered my eyes a little. Then the crowd broke into a roar of applauding and cheering, I was so amazed that I joined in clapping and cheering.
“Alright, now we’ll start handing out presents,” Draunia said, “Hey, wanna help out here, Tawl and Victory?”
They nodded and went over to the Christmas tree and started to pick up presents. “Alright,” Tawl said, “I got a present for Irish.” He looked around and saw me. “Hey, Irish, there’s a present for ya.” He tossed the present to me.
“Cool.” I said to myself. I could barely hear myself over every one unwrapping their presents. I started to unwrap mine, it was from Oscar. When I opened it, I saw it was a Red Hot Chili Peppers; Stadium Arcadium CD. “Aw, Sweet!” I thought to myself. But how did he know? I looked around and every one had something they really liked from Oscar. ‘Wow, he must have some sort of way to know this....TheOnlyHorse had a scanner and a jumbo sized bag of peppermint candies, Draunia had a PS3, I thought to myself, “How’d he get so lucky?” Kreekon had a DS Lite, SilverPaperPlate had a book about animating, she looked sad and said, “I really wanted world peace…”. I started to laugh a bit.
When I was done looking around, I put my gift in my coat pockets and went over to the chair that used to be by the tree until they moved it near the window. I sat down for a while then looked out side, and to my surprise, it was snowing. It wasn’t snowing when I got here. I went over to the window and looked out, it was beautiful. I started to space out looking at it. I was brought back to reality when Mattbot looked out the window as well and yelled to everyone, “HEY! SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!”
With that, every one ran out side and started pelting each other with snow balls. Some of them even set up teams and made fortresses in the parking lot. Every one was running around so much that I started to get dizzy watching them all. Then out of no where, some one nailed me on the back of the head. I turned around and saw Aeterna, she stuck out her tongue and laughed as she and 2 other people started throwing snowballs at me. I ducked some of them, but most of them got me.
Then, DeadBrain pushed me out of the way and behind a snow wall. They almost got him, but he rolled behind the wall as well. “You know if you stand there like that, every one well see you as a sitting duck,” DeadBrain said, trying to hit Aeterna’s team, “Hey, wanna join our side? We got 4 people.”
“Uh, Yeah, I guess so.” I said, trying to not get hit by Aeterna’s team when they started to throw them high, over the wall.
DeadBrain started to explain how the teams were set up. “Here, I like to learn first, act later, so here’s how the teams are set up, there are 20 people, so far, there are a few who aren’t on a team, but so far there are 5 teams, our team; that has 5 now that you’re here, Aeterna’s team; that has 3, TOH’s team; who has 6 people, and SilverPaperPlate’s team, who has 3. There are about 3 people who aren’t on a team, we gotta try and get them while trying to get the other teams.”
This game was starting to sound like an all out war to me. “Ok, I’ll see who aren’t on a team.” I peeked up over the wall and saw some stray people, all of a sudden, 1 person went with SliverPaperPlate. “Crap, SilverPaperPlate’s team got one!” I said to DeadBrain.
“Alright,” He said, “We gotta get out there and hit some of the teams. Hey, Mattbot!” Mattbot slide over to DeadBrain. “Team up with Irish here and lead an ambush on TOH’s team, they may have a lot of people, but that makes them bigger targets!” He signaled us to get near the edge of the wall. “See that snow wall next to us, the high one? Circle around the building and ambush them from behind and don’t worry if you’re cornered, Mattbot knows what to do, and we’ll be ready for it. Go! Now!” I and Mattbot ran to the side of the building, dodging snowballs that were being pelted at us along the way.
“Once we get to the back, we’ll make snowballs and prepare to ambush TOH’s team. When we do that, make sure to cover my back.” Mattbot told me.
“Ok, got it.” I said, deftly dodging an incoming snow ball. Once we got to the back, we did just as he said we would do, we made snow balls and prepared to ambush TOH’s team. Once we got all the snow balls we could carry finished, we grabbed the snowballs and prepared to go.
“On my mark, we jump them,” Mattbot said, “... Ok, Go now!” We launched around the corner. We were bombarded with snowballs, but them again, so were they. Mattbot got at least 12 people in the head, I never knew he was such a good shot. I saw Zackie right in front of me with a huge snowball, heck, it was more like a snowboulder. He threw it at me and hit, I was almost knocked to the ground. I got up quickly, taking as much snow that he threw, and threw it right back at him. I went to reach for another snowball, but they were all gone. I and Mattbot were cornered against their huge snow wall, at least 1 story high.
TOH came up to us out from the back of her team. “So, got any last words?” Signaling her team to get ready and pelt us.
Mattbot grinned and said, “Yeah, I got one, “AVALANCHE!”.” He kicked the bottom of their huge snow wall as hard as he could and it began to shake. TOH’s team averted their attention to the shaking wall. “Come one! We gotta move!” He yelled at me. We started to run out from behind the wall.
“You’re not getting away that easy!” TOH yelled. She was about to throw her big snowball at us, but not before she got hit with a big bunch of snow from above. “What the…?” She looked up and her wall was about to fall on her and her team.
“Will you run now!?” Mattbot yelled at me. We ran out from behind the wall, and wouldn’t you know, on the other side was our team, waiting for the wall to fall. Once the wall fell, all of TOH’s team was covered in snow.
“Fire away!” DeadBrain commanded. All of the team started pelting on her team, they retreated to behind the trees and building. We, on the other hand, returned to our wall. “Good job on the wall, I knew that a wall that high, it would be bad for them if it just happened to fall over.”
This went on for about an hour or so, by the time everyone was inside, every one was shaking from the cold. We were all bundled up in blankets and drinking hot cocoa and eggnog. I was freezing, wasn’t very fond of the cold, but nothing could keep me from playing in the snow. “Hey.” Someone said. I looked up from my cocoa to see it was TheOnlyHorse. “Hey, nice idea, using my wall against me, I honestly didn’t see it coming.” She grinned weakly.
“Don’t be complimenting me, DeadBrain thought of it.” I was trying to be humble.
“Oh, well anyways, Merry Christmas!” She smiled walking off.
“Um, hey.”
“Yeah?” She stopped.
“Um, Merry Christmas…” I said quietly.
She smiled again and walked off. I sighed. I couldn’t think of anything to say. Some one came up behind me and said, “Aha, so you do like her.”
I turned around so quickly that hot cocoa went flying from my cup. “What?!” I saw it was the same guy from at least a month ago.
“I can tell it, you like her.”
“Well of course I like her, she’s my friend!” I started to get steamed.
“No, I mean you like, like her.”
“Huh? “Like, like”? Who besides little kids use that phrase?”
“Fine, you want me to say love?”
“No, I’d prefer you to just go away and shut up.”
“Why should I? I’m just saying the truth.”
I really started to get mad. I looked at him with a really hard stare and said, “Tis the season to shut the ******** up and stop being an annoying little b***h.”
With all the noise we were starting to make, Tawl came over and said, “Is there a problem here?”
The stranger grinned. “Nope, I was just on my way.” He chuckled and walked off.
“What was that?” Tawl asked.
“It was just some one being an a**.” I said. Hmph, I hate it when people act like that…
It was just about time to leave. Everyone was finished with their deserts and treats. Oscar got up on the stage and announced. “I hope you all have had a lot of fun tonight, but unfortunately, it’s time to go. Be careful on your way home and Merry Christmas!”
We all walked out the doors. Before I got in my car I yelled to TOH, “Hey!” She turned around and saw me. “Merry Christmas!” I yelled smiling. She smiled back and got in her car. Who knew so much fun could be had on Christmas?
