i had my surgery today at around 10:20a.m. i went to sleep within 5 seconds. i didn't feel a thing. but when i woke up it was like 2 and a half hours later. i wanted to tell the doctor to let me sleep for a few more hours, but i couldn't talk. i have 2 huge holes in the back of my throat. and the little dangley thing in my throat is swollen. it hurts to talk, swallow, eat, and breathe through my mouth. right now i have to cough but if i do, i might make my throat bleed. i have popsicles and icecream to eat. but for the first 2 to 3 days, i can have no dairy products. so i have to eat the icecream when i can have dairy. i can't eat anything hard, crunchy, or hot to eat. and it sucks, so badly. i had to have an I-V put in the top of my right hand. when i laid down on the operating table one of the nurses but the sleepy medication through one of the holes in the I-V, after the unscrew it. i went out instintly. the surgey took at least 30 to 45 minutes. i can't wait till the pain goes away. the pain is worse then the time i had toncilitis. and that was bad. i drewl alot now too. i mean miles and miles of drewl. but in the end, after my throat heals up, it will be worth it. i can't wait till i can have some of the icecream. the hospital i went to was St. Joesphs Hospital in Tampa Fl. the people there are really nice. they want to make sure that you are comfy and warm. they give you something to drink after the surgery. you can have no food or drink after midnight the day of your surgery. so i ate scrambled eggs and toast around 11:30p.m., before i went to bed so that my stamache would not grumble as painfully. well, until next time...........
