They've got us pinned terribly
They don't believe our love is real
Cause they don't know how real love feels
You should know it's true
Just now, the part about my love for you
And how my heart's about burst

- Covers were on the bed, thrown on the floor, and sheets were tangled over a young lady's body, her eyes were open though, as they had been for the last three hours. Painted on her eyes lids was last night's make up, smeared from her rubbing at her tired eyes and from moving far too much during the night's span. Rubbing the back of her hands against her eyes once more, possibly for the tenth time that hour, Flittia couldn't help but sigh. Ever since Daley had come back from the dead, literally, she felt sort of odd. She was still herself, but he seemed so off. It was a miracle, a slightly unbelievable one by chance, but now she was happier, she felt like it wasn't the real Daley though. Flittia's mind was a at battle at the moment, yet both sides were gaining no land at all. It was very much so like the Battle of Somme, all that fighting and loss of time for basically nothing but a large quantity of frustration by both sides. Flittia wanted to believe it was Daley, the love of her life, but if it was him why hadn't he even said her name when he had showed up on her door step? Why hadn't he cooed something sweet about how much he missed her or why hadn't he kept in contact? A sick feeling entered her stomach, she knew that truth to all her questions. Why was this boy pretending to be her love though? Flittia could feel the dread slipping over her, she was drowning in the reality that her fiance could have never come back. Untangling her bodice from the light pink sheets Flittia let out yet another sigh, she just couldn't place her finger on what could possibly be going on.
Deciding to place it in the back of her mind for as long as she could, Flittia stood up and looked around her room, which was eclectically designed with things she might have found at antique shops or thrift shops, it was vintage looking and awkward to stare at for a long time, but it was still her room. Bright blue eyes flowed from item to item, each covered with either clothes that she had or had not worn or with books, magazines, and art supplies. It was much different from the room Daley was staying in, his was more masculine and proper for a young man. She had only ushered him in there last night because she was confused and knew she would probably end up crying for a good part of the night after he got there. The night before they hadn't talked much, she hadn't even known where to begin. Still, she didn't know where to start. Good job putting it in the back of your mind, she thought to herself before shaking her head quickly back and forth, as if she was trying to throw off any more incoming thoughts. At the moment she found nothing to smile at, which was so odd for the young lady who always seemed to have sunshine riding on her coat tails.
Leaving her bed, and her room basically, a total mess as she liked it, Flittia stepped from the sanctuary of her room and into the hallway, seeing that his door room was open her heart couldn't help but pound in her chest. She quickly walked past it, hoping he wouldn't catch her, his back was turned anyhow. Swallowing hard she made her way to the kitchen and directly to the fridge, only to grab an apple from the crisper and one of the many Vitamin waters that crowded her fridge. Being a vegetarian was easy enough, her reason was just to be healthy, not to save the over populated chickens or anything. Taking a bite into her apple and popping the cap of her Vitamin water off she just as quickly walked back into her room, only spilling a few drops of her drink on her shirt before closing the door behind her. Setting the bottle on the slightly uneasy stool next to her bed she looked at her calendar which had the meeting of her fiance's brother and friend on it. The oddest thing was that Daley hadn't talked much of his brother before this, which had her brow furrowing, but she once more sent it to the back of her mind. Sitting back down on her bed for a few minutes the young lady devoured what was left of her small breakfast.
Wiping her fingers on the soft material of her sleeping sweatpants Flittia stood up from her seat on her bed and paced around the room, either staring off into space or trying or find something reasonably attractive and nice enough to go to breakfast in with others. Almost tripping over a pair of acid wash gray jeans Flittia picked them up and threw them on her bed, choosing them as her bottoms. Her favorite plaid Vans were already by the door, which meant she only had to pick out her top and accessories. Who knew how long that would take though. After another four or five minutes of pacing she had finally found her outfit; A teal strappy tank that was put under a chic sweater that hung off her shoulders but didn't dip far enough to show any sort of cleavage. Her jeans and shoes were on in a few mere minutes before she stood in front of her mirror trying to make something of her bird's nest of hair. With the magic of hair spray, two hair bands, and a giant hair brush; Her hair was simply divine...or as good as it was going to get that day. Looking over her reflection in her full length mirror she could already see the circles under her eyes and the slight redness of her actual eyes, she didn't look like her normal self. Pressing the tips of her fingers to her lips Flittia closed her eyes, knowing she would have to come out of her room some time or another.
She didn't know why she was so nervous or jumpy around her fiance. It was Daley. What couldn't she get that into her head? Was all of her being fighting that it wasn't him or something? It wasn't like Flittia to be so...unbelieving. Hell, she had believed for more than half her life that Tinkerbell lived in the shoebox in her closet after Jakob Schlosher had told her in kindergarten. For some reason though, she just couldn't clap her hands and believe. Stopping on her way to the door she clapped her hands childishly, closing her eyes and wished, then smiled and opened her eyes. Nothing happened, just like normal. For some reason that was comforting, in a sort of sick way actually. Grasping onto the door handle firmly she yanked on it and stepped into the hallway and walked over to the room where Daley stood, a smile couldn't help but spread over her face as she tapped her knuckles against the door as a good morning knock. "Morning Daley love." she had said as softly and as kindly as she had before he had left on vacation. Stepping a little more into the room she saw him still laying down on the bed, which she sat on a few inches away before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
Flittia didn't know what to say, so much came to mind once more. Did he still not know her name? He had fumbled with it last night so much, which had made her cry the instance he seemed to misplace her name. Running her fingers through his brown locks she couldn't help but sigh, she had missed him so badly. "You do remember me don't you Daley? You remember your darling Flittia?" her voice cracked with those words, why did she even have to say her name to him?Her hand slipped away to him and they both went to her lap, at which her eyes were staring at. She felt like she was blaming him though, which wasn't in her nature to do, but she still felt bad for asking such a question. Keeping her eyes away from him she replaced the previous question with, "Oh yes, where are we going for breakfast? That's possibly a better question for the moment." she said with a slightly staccato laugh. I just made this awkward, she thought to herself before looking back up at her fiance.
