Well, today was a day off for me. Thank god! I mean, I wasn't even called in today to work and cover for whoever couldn't come in to do their shift for the day. It was quite enjoyable! And yet... I realized, last night, that I had nothing to do!

I hate wasting my time with days off. I knew that, most likely, I'd end up walking around the house, cleaning, maybe drawing a single picture or so... but I'd be bored out of my skull. If I don't have something planned, I go insane. I'm like a German Shepherd- I need something to do or I can't control my random insanity.

However, I was saved last night from the clutches of my boredom. I was notified, when I got home from closing the store, that Michael had called. Curious, I called back as soon as I was done with my "minor" chores.

Well, it seems there was a Yugioh tournament being held at Cincinnati Mills! I've always wanted to go to one of these. However, I wanted to go with someone. To these sort of things, for your first time, I always thought it would be better to go with someone who's been there before.

Of course I wanted to go! I said yes, and all the night I shuffled my decks, collecting cards for trading fodder, excited for the next day to come.

We went at ten in the morning, and stayed until about three. It was FANTASTIC!! Truly an experience. I was so happy I got to go with Michael today! We arrived, and I have to say most of the players were quite friendly. Yes, I may have been the only girl there, but I didn't mind. After glancing around at the cards strewn about, Michael and I sat down at a set up table. No sooner had we taken out our respective decks (We both run two; He runs a Dragon and Crystal Beast, and I run a Harpie and Beast) when we found ourselves being challenged left and right by players.

I went up against this younger boy. Well, I bet all of his five decks! My final tally for the day was six wins, and three, of four, losses. Not bad, considering when I'm the one usually loosing all the time! Seems I'm getting a bit better.

Now, there were some players who didn't know the rules completely. I suppose, at any function like that, you're going to have some people like that. The "n00bs" were bickering and complaining once in a while, and the advanced players knew the "n00bs" were in the wrong. However, some of those times you just have to ignore them and their delusional ideas- you can't tell them otherwise.

Michael got his last two cards needed for his Crystal Beast Deck- two Rare Values. It took him forever to get them; they're hard to acquire since they've been cut from the just released Crystal Beast duelist packs. I'm so happy he finally got them! His deck is almost unbeatable now. It's wicked!! I watched him play several people are various times of the day, and, boy, I was surprised- it's so easy how he can fill up his field, dump it, re-fill it again and then summon a beatstick of a dragon (along with several more monsters) and attack for game all in one turn!

Today was priceless. I loved it, every second of it! I'm totally going back next time. I learned a lot from my decks today, and I felt more confident that I have in a long time. Simply put, I'm starting to get some of my combos down.

Also, and I will admit this, it made me so proud that Michael said, more than once, that I was "his girlfriend". I mean, I really found myself smiling. I'm proud he's my boyfriend- he's such a sweet guy, with a great humor, and good looking too! I have such a blast whenever I'm around him!!

Today... I will never forget today. It's one of those fond memories that I don't think will fade, even with the cruel wiles of time.
