3-0 Win
Game Preview: Jaroslav Halak will start against Rick DiPietro and the Islanders at the Bell Centre. Montreal has lost their last game, but New York has only won two of their last 10 games! Guy Carbonneau has made some major changes, like Higgins with Grabovski and Sergei Kostitsyn, while Guillaume Latendresse gets to play with Montreal's Captain Saku Koivu and Michael Ryder. Ryan O'Byrne, Maxim Lapierre and Mathieu Dandenault are the one left out.
Final: Montreal defeats New York Islanders 3-0! Incredible! Well, not so much, but it's a good win! Jaroslav Halak gets his 3rd shutout in 16 starts in his career but his first this season. Agood game from DiPietro but a better one from the Canadiens roster. Roman Hamrlik opens the score on a powerplay. Then, Alex Kovalev on a one timer from Plekanec. Finally, Guillaume Latendresse ties his last season mark of 16 goals from Koivu. Montreal jumps to the second place.
