Hello to all! I just came back from Sakura-con a little while ago. It turns out, today was the only day I'm going. >.> But I had lots of fun!! It was my first time being at Sakura-con so I was like a hyper, amazed kid in the world's largest candy store, hahaha.
Man, when I went to go get my badge, there was a hella loooong line at registration, I am not even kidding. By the time you get up to the registration booths, you'd be dead. We lined up, but then we found that we just needed to go to the Pre-registration booths which had a much shorter line because I paid last year! Didn't have to wait too long, but it still took some time. Anyway, once everything was okay (though my little sister wasn't paid for so my dad had to wait an hour to get her a badge... >.< wink
I went off with my bf while my dad was in the registration line with my sister. Hehe, he looked pretty good in a Vincent (FFVII) costume. >w<- heart We went to the bizzare (sp?) where countless booths selling merchandise and what not. Sadly, I didn't have much money, but I bought these awesome purple cat ears for ten bucks. I think I'm going to go as the cheshire cat next year with those ears. But there was so much stuff you could buy, it was mind blowing!! We went around a couple of times then didn't do much.
When we met up with a few friends, that's when it got more fun. We went to this lolita fashion show, however, I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting more over the top, ultra cute lolita style clothing, but most of the clothes were as plain as could be... T-T T'was sad really...
We spent a great deal of time just walking around and looking and making fun of people's costumes, haha. Though, my feet were killing me because of my high heeled boots... >.> Hah, my feet hurt so much when we were going home that my bf was sweet enough to give me a piggyback ride to the car. We heard some people say, "Aww... cute!" At us, hehe. ^^
We took some pictures at the end, but I didn't have that much money so I couldn't buy any prints... boo... >.>
But over all, the convention was really fun! I'm glad I was able to go this year, and look forward to next year! For my first anime convention, I say that this was an awesome experience!
