I don't believe in the pragmatic merit of achieving a BFA or MFA. I don't believe anyone can become more creative by paying others to tell them about art and creativity, despite all things one can absorb through inspiration, invigoration, and simple polishing of techniques.
However, I want to spend my time with people who aren't disenchanted with the art-school notion, who believe there are things worthwhile in Mod Podge and gesso and collection and frames and pedestals and light installations. These are people who, despite abandoning the pragmatism that assists others in surviving, can still quench their thirst for life by simply looking around or looking inside.
