A frozen heart
A black heart
A motionless heart
This heart belongs to a lifeless body
A body that has reached its end
But the soul has not left
The soul refuses to leave
The end is not now
Hearing the souls cries, the creature appears
'You wish to continue living, yes?' it asks
The soul response with a desperate yes
With swift movements, the creature knelt to the body and held a vile to its lips
'Drink' it instructed 'and you'll live'
The thick liquid went down the throat of the broken body
Air started coming in and out the body with help from the lungs
The heart began pumping blood throughout the body
The souls' body was alive again
But something was different
Canine teeth were longer and sharper
Open eyes could see in the dark as though it was daylight
Ears could hear the beating of a rats heart
Nose could smell traces of rain from days ago
A human past by
Body and soul hungered for the human
Upon sneaking up to the innocent, silenced their screams with a bite to the main artery in the neck
The body sucked the human dry of their blood
The soul panicked
'What Have You Done To Me?!'
The creature held up the vile
'By drinking my blood you have become my first NEW creation'
'You are a creature of the night
'Turned down by the sun
'Forced to feed of those who live in its light
'You are a demon'
The creature disappeared
The soul was lost
The body hungered for more
The soul had said it wanted to live longer
And now it can
By ending the life of others
The body went in search of more
The soul excepted its new life and allowed it to be carried into the night
This is the night
