Short Story
In the hills of no where special is nothing but miles and miles of trees, bushes and other plantlife. Within the depths of this forested area many a creature lives and thrives. One of these creatures is known to all travelers and locals as simply 'Bear'. Bear calls the caverns home and ventures outside of them to gather grub and annoy the pesky locals and visitors of the forest. Standing only three feet tall and weighing no more than fifty pounds, he prowls through the brush at lightning speed, a brown blurr to all of those that happen to get a glimpse of him.
This day, like any other day, Bear was out investigating the seemingly endless woods, preying on unsuspecting berry bushes and catching smaller furry creatures just to let them go. This day though, he heard something in the distance. A loud, earsplitting shook the trees to their roots. Bear's ears twitched a moment before he turned towards where the ruckus came from. Instead of fleeing like he noticed others scampering to do, he grab his head and began to roll down the hill.
The ground leveled off somewhere further away than where Bear originaly started. With the world spinning around him, Bear got to his feet and began to slowly stagger to where the roaring came from. Stumbling, he pulled himself through the last line of trees and fell onto soft grass. Letting the swirling sky slow a bit, he smiled and turned over to look at something that took his breath away. In front of him lay a smoothed grey stone that seemed to cut the woods into two seperate sides. He looked to his left, the stone went on and on. He looked to his right and the same thing filed his view.
'WHOA!' He exclaimed as he looked ahead of him and at the roaring object. A huge beast with glaring eyes and dark clouds spewing from its open maw stared him down. Litte Bear was frozen solid as he sat in the presence of such a great creature. The being gurggled and a smaller creature, only a few heads larger than Bear emerged from its side. 'Cool!' he yelled as the world continued to spin around him. Without a second thought, Bear was off, staggering towards the new beast that had no hair except for on its head and wore things he only recognized through his scavenging occupied picnic areas. Tripping over a pebble, Bear turned and landed on its feet, turning his head up to the human and gave them a wide grin.
'HAI-YO! Hoo-MAN!'

I feel like
I'm never complete.
When I peel away
these pieces of me.
Pieces to a puzzle,
the puzzle that was me.
A puzzle that will
never be complete.[/color:4a82ba2589]
