Superbad - I watched Superbad yesterday. I recommend it to anyone who likes comedy movies. It's about high school kids trying to get laid, before they go off to college. The movie is full of humor, drugs and swearing.
The Machine Girl - This is an imported movie, so I doubt anyone has heard of it or even seen it. Anyway, it's a Japanese movie about a high school girl and her brother. Her brother ends up being killed by a Ukuza's son and she seeks revenge. The movie has poor special effects and not so great acting. The result... funny. The English dub, overuse of blood squirting everywhere and ninja in jogging outfits, makes this a pretty funny movie.
Best Buy - Don't shop at Best Buy. My older brother has bought a DVD player and a camera from best Buy, in the past. They were both under warranty and of course, something happened to both of them. According to Best Buy's warranty, they get to decide if the damage is the users fault or due to parts going bad. In both cases, they say the products were in need of repair, due to how they were treated. If you knew my brother, you'd know that wasn't true. He takes excellent care of everything. I've never seen dust anywhere in his house before and all of his things are in excellent condition. Anyway, even though the DVD and camera were under warranty, Best Buy said my brother had to pay more, to get them fixed.
Last Friday, my older brother went to buy a new LCD tv from Best Buy. Brand new tv. He got it home and opened the box. From what he said, it looked as if someone had taken a sledge hammer to the screen. The box itself was in perfect condition, so he wasn't sure how it happened. So he brought the tv back, trying to get a replacement and was thrown out of the store. He called their complaint line, only to find out that those people read from scripts. So eventually Best Buy did send someone to my brother's house, to examine the box and tv. They determined that the damage was not caused by my brother and that Best Buy will replace it... however, just so happens they have no more of that model in stock. My brother is going to attempt to just get his money back and buy a tv some place else.
Because of all of what Best Buy put him through, I don't ever want to go to Best Buy again.
Thursday - This Thursday, tomorrow, I'll be having dinner at my younger brother's place, with my parents. Not sure what we'll be having or what time I'll be back. It's possible I may stay the night there, but nothing has been said about it, yet.
