The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Happy Birthday to a loved one
Sunday, June 14:

Father's Day. That's a nice special time, isn't it? Unfortunately... for my father, well, I'm not saying we don't get along but it's hard for us to connect on many levels. There are times when I simply wonder where he began to feel a bit misplaced. Then again, this happens a lot, doesn't it? I'm a daughter of his- 19- feeling the changes going on and feeling a bit like I need to move out of the nest. I love him dearly, and I know he knows it.

Anyway, I got him his card and gift. He enjoyed it. Not much was spent celebration wise. We just don't have enough family time to spend together these days. With me constantly working or on call and him chugging down two jobs himself, time can get a tad stretched.

Anyway, after celebrating dad went to his train club. That, of course, let me have time to sit around and write some more of my novel. I was waiting around for Michael's call. See, it was his birthday, and I wanted to celebrate it with him somehow.

The call came late in the afternoon, and dinner was proposed. We went to this awesome little... well, it wasn't a bar, but it was a diner. It was an "in between" thing-- if that even makes sense. The best food I've had in a while. I don't get to eat out often, so eating anywhere else besides my parent's favorite places (the same old buffets) is pretty much a culture shock. I'm not kidding on that.

Before hand, I had given him my gifts. I have to laugh about this. I tried to search out a masculine gift bag-- I really did! However, the only ones we have on hand are horribly pink ones with either hearts and cherubs or blue ones with snowmen, snowflakes and overly obese Santa Clauses. So, do you know what I found? Well, it was black and white striped. It was... interesting.

Michael took one look at the bag, almost aghast.

"Yeah," I said. "I tried to find a manly bag."

He took a double take at the bag. "And this is manly?"

It was a DSW bag.

Well, let's just say he enjoyed his card and fox stuffed animal. The animal was adorable. The card? That gave me a scare. It was a ultimate rare Topaz Tiger-- the shiny, holographic version. I had ordered it from a guy and he didn't have it in his inventory. Long story short, I was scared it wouldn't even arrive in time. It did, thank GOD. I really have to watch out with some of these sellers.

After dinner came a surprising shock. We weren't taking the road back home. His parents were driving us to a mini golf course! Whoa, boy, now, I'm not that great at golf. In fact I suck. I love it, though.

The course was enormous! Waterfall and synthetic cliff like appendages with sand and water traps of ultimate doom, this place was spiffy. We played for a good hour or so, sending balls flying and scores skyrocketing. It's funny. I never realized what sort of style I take with golfing. I have this, well, what Michael calls a "berserker" mode. I whack the ball so hard, with all my might, and a lot of the time I get near the hole.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed spending time with him! I always do love my time spent just hanging out. There are times when I really feel out of place and he's the one that will call, talk to me and lift my spirits immensely. He's done so much for me and I can't fathom where I can even begin to thank him, repaying him for everything!

heart Peace out, ya'll! heart

It's a little sad, yeah, but then again the reason sometimes we don't spend much time is we're constantly doing stuff. I mean, well, last night dad and I watched a little of League of Extraordinary Gentleman. It's just hit and miss moments to spend time. lol, well, I had to find a gift bag to put his goodies in. I only had a DSW bag on hand. The other ones were horribly girlie. Mom has a habit of collecting gift bags but they're all geared towards "ladies"! lol. Yup! The picture is adorable. Michael loves foxes, and I love foxes AND wolves. Ooooh hoh hoh. Golfing is a really hard sport, actually. A lot of people play it. xd

Golfing can't be that hard 3nodding if senile old men could do it, so could the rest of the world! xd

You know, I should try that. xD Foxes are extremely cute. Awww! Aw yeah, the kits are adorable. Soooo fluffy. I have to admit, fox kits are cuter than wolf pups. Wolves are like German Shepherds. In fact Bella, my German Shepherd-Beagle mix, has wolf eyes. Really intense yellowish brown; they're beautiful!!! LOL! Trust me, golfing is a bit hard... then again, that could be just me. I suck at that and bowling.
