{[The Hidden Truth]}
June 22, 2008
A long time ago I remember quite frankly, That we used to lay by the lake and dream endlessly. The warm sun on our skins felt so good, The fresh air in our lungs felt so cold. Your face next to mines was like a blessing from god, Your hands on my arm felt like the rays from dawn. We talked lazily about our future, Knowing the only thing that mattered was out life together. You got up slowly and peered down at the water, The reflection of your face on the surface was a shadow. The words that came out of your mouth were on mute, Your face had gone from bright to as if you'd seen a ghost. I'm not sure what you saw in your reflection that day, But when you moved on as time passed was of no surprise to me. I still remember your warm smile and your childlike voice, But what I will never know is why you left without a word.
