Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Not that it means anything here in Gaia, but where I come from that's kind of a big deal. People go all out with celebrating the independence of our land and it's usually a lot of fun. I realized a bit late that it was approaching because it seems Gaians do not participate in the celebrations that I once knew. But I didn't feel that was reason for me to give up my traditions. So, I headed out to the market to see if I could find some celebration worthy items and possibly some clothing in shades of red, white, and blue.

Like I said, Gaians don't have much in the way of Independence Day celebration stuff. But I did manage to find some fun red and blue fireworks for decent prices. I bought some for me and sent some over to some of my friends that I know share in my traditions. I didn't really find anything suiting for tomorrow's apparel. I suppose I'll just have to make due with what I have in my closet at home. But I did find several other little treasures that I just HAD to pick up while I was out.

After my treasure hunting adventure, I headed home with my prizes. I went to my closet and opened the door and was attacked by an avalanche of falling stuff. It was like one of those cartoons where waves and waves of miscellaneous items rain down on the person who dares to open the forbidden door. I almost expected a bowling ball to land smack on top of my pretty blond head. Until I remembered that a bowling ball is one of the few items I haven't yet picked up at the market. However one of the magic orbs I purchased came darn close. At least they are a lot lighter than the bowling ball would have been.

I realized that I've been doing a lot of purchasing and not enough organizing. Oops! I guess it's time to clean out that closet. So, I pulled out my storage trunk and put some of my seasonal clothes in it to free up some space. I mean, who really needs two scarves in July? And why would anyone want to wear sweaters and long sleeves in the middle of summer? And when is a ghost costume useful anytime other than Halloween?

After I removed the unnecessary items from my closet, I went through and started organizing what was left. Epic stopped by my house in the middle of the project and was amused to find me buried deep in my closet, contemplating whether to organize by color or sleeve length. He's a boy with only three outfits. What does he know anyway????

But after hours of much thought and hard work, I got my closet looking like the closet of a princess should. Tidy, organized, and full of pretty things. And I even have a little room left over so I can shop freely once again.
