Last night Epic came over to introduce me to his new kitty. It's really quite amazing that we both got cats at the same time. I wonder if there's another story there....

Anyway, he hasn't named his cat yet. I couldn't quite tell if his is a boy or a girl cat. But Kaya, being the shy kitty that she is, was not too fond of our new visitors. She hid behind my legs most of the night. Oh well, it's her loss.

So, Epic and I were discussing how we spend our time here in Gaia. While I like to spend my days bargain hunting and purchasing things I don't really need, he likes to wile away the hours in the casino. I told him that I've spent some time at the casino before, but I've only played the slot machines because I don't understand blackjack. He laughed at me; apparently blackjack is where he makes his big money.

I was intrigued. So, this afternoon I took a little walk over to the casinos to see what the big deal was.

Blackjack really does have a better pay out than the slots! And strangely, I'm not too terrible at it. But I have suspicions it's just beginners luck. I still don't understand what's going on, but as long as I'm not going broke, I guess it'll do.

Great. Just what I needed. A new addictive habit to nurse. How am I ever going to get things done if I only play all day long? Oh, wait! This is Gaia. That's what it's all about!
