Chapter One The Meeting
_Kumori ran swiftly through the foliage of the Dark Forest, dashing left and right to avoid trees in his path. His black clothing was barely visible on the forest floor where little, if any, sunlight got through. He had dark hair and emerald green eyes. His sword sheathed on his side the back cape flapping around in the wind. Coming up to Tranquil Meadow the scent of two strangers caught his attention getting him to stop in his tracks, inches from the tree line and still hidden by the shadows The meadow was nothing more than a plan, flat, and round, grassland about a mile in diameter. . The grass in the meadow never grew more than an inch tall. There was a male and female there. The two stood in the center of the meadow arguing so loudly Kumori could hear them clearly even from so far away.
_“Thanks a lot for getting us lost Kohri,” the female snarled. She was around 5’ 10” with short dark hair, pretty blue eyes, and an annoyed look on her face. The light green shirt fit tightly against her chest and blended perfectly with the dark green pants, all wrapped in vines from her neck to her ankles. Her sword appeared to be in a sheath made of flowers and still growing leaves.
_“It’s your fault we’re lost Bara,” The sorter male replied jokingly. He was somewhat chubby and pale. His blond shined in the sun and his blue eyes matched his sky blue shirt to the vary shade. A clear cape revealed a sword held by a frost white sheath that extended to the deep blue pants.
_Okay so the female in the tight battle suit is Bara and the male with the big mouth is Kohri, Kumori thought to himself. He listened intently, unsure of the two so close to his home. What are they doing here, of all places?
_“And how exactly might that be?” Bara asked her tone increasing as she became more agitated. “You’ve had the map the whole time.” Kumori thought she looked cute, but she’d be cuter if she smiled, beautiful even.
_“Well yeah, but you distracted me with your ugly face.” Kohri replied with a smirk. He had a very annoying voice that could rack anyone’s nerves. Weak looking and seemed like nothing more than a clown.
_Bara screamed with frustration and drew out her sword. “You’ve insulted me for the last time idiot! I hope you like pain.”
_Kohri stepped back lightly placing a hand on his sword. “Oh oh, I want to play too.” He laughed, mockingly.
_“This has gone far enough,” Kumori muttered under his breath. “Akarui, Kurai, stop this before blood stains the ground.”
_A ray of sunlight pierced through the trees and from the light a white wolf formed with fur as sharp as blades and eyes blue as a clean lake. Another wolf, black as night, appeared in the darkest of shadows with blazing red eyes. The two wolves rushed between the fighters, growing and showing their teeth. Bara looked around and asked, “Who’s there?”
_Kumori stepped out from the tree line reviling his presence. “My name is Kumori and you are on my territory. Fighting is not allowed here.”
_From out of nowhere, two more wolves, one from the water in the form of ice and the other from the ground made up of roses and vines, tackled Kumori’s wolves as Kohri and Bara laughed. “What luck,” Bara pronounced, “To get lost, and the target we are after finds us. Kumori you are a joke and we are going to kill you.” Bara lifted her sword, the metallic green blade glimmering in the sunlight. Once lifted, the blade rounded to the form of a large thorn. Kohri drew out his sword and stepped back. Kohri’s blade was nearly transparent, with frost radiating from it.
_Kumori focused his eyes while drawing his sword. Flames, black on one side, white on the other, covered the blade as it parted from its sheath. When Bara charged at him a dark aura shrouded her, giving off the since that something was wrong. Kumori echoed the thoughts in his head out loud, “Something’s not right.” The flames on his sword turned completely white as he stepped forward to meet her. Once Bara got close she swung at him violently. He swiftly ducked and yelled out, “Burning light!” His blade slashed across her side.
_Bara fell to her hands and knees, feeling dizzy. She felt her side with one hand expecting a fatal wound to be present there, but all she felt was skin. I’m not even bleeding? She questioned herself. Just before passing out she came to realize her movements were her own again. The last question lingered in her head as her vision faded, Am I free?
_Kumori looked around for Kohri but he was nowhere in sight. Akarui and Kurai had weakened out and their energies returned to Kumori’s sword. The plant wolf approached Kumori growling and showing its teeth. He held his hand out to the wolf and spoke. “I mean Bara no harm,” he said shakily. The wolf stopped growling and Kumori grabbed Bara, lifting her over his shoulder. “Come on,” he told the wolf walking off. They entered the tree line opposite the one Kumori entered the meadow, climbing over a log and down a beaten path. At the end of the path was an old beat up hut with a sign that read Ookami posted on the front of the door. Kumori opened the door and walked in, laying Bara on the bed on the other side of the room. He poured a cup of water and placed it beside her then walked back out, closing the door behind him.

................................................................................................

_Kohri brushed through the bushes and trees in the forest. It was getting dark and he could barely make out the shapes of the trees in front of him. He stopped cold in his tracks at the sound of someone’s voice speaking to him.
_“What happened?” the voice asked, the outline of a person appearing in front of him.
_“Bara was captured.” He replied. “She was taken down by a white flame originating from his sword.”
_“I know that!” the voice yelled. “Do you take me for a fool? That I wouldn’t know when one of my own spells has been broken? Did you kill Kumori? Do you have his sword?”
_“No,” Kohri answered. “He was to strong; I fled when I had the chance.”
_“MORON!” the voice screamed in anger. “I told you to kill him. I want him dead and I want that sword!”
_“I understand master,” Kohri bowed. “I will not fail you again.”
_“No, you won’t,” Said the voice. “Cause if you do it will be the last time you ever fail me.”
