I sing to the moon at night
While holding onto stars.
And with every breath
It feels like something’s slipping passed me.
And as this moon waxes,
I can feel this calling
This yearning in my heart.
I want to fly.
I want to touch the clouds around me
To see those floating passed me.
There’s nothing I can do.
I’m just a simple shell.
There’s not a person
That can mould me anymore.
And by that small decree,
I’m alone under the moon crying:
Why?
Why can’t I have what I want?
Why is my song not heard?
If only the moon could grant my wishes
Then I’d see that light again.
I’d see that light again…
Lonely in this crowd of people
The sea forms up around me.
I hear the tide’s rising waves
Crashing into the shore,
Holding on to me for what it’s for.
All along the moon was war!?
No.
I read this wrong.
I screwed myself up.
What’s left to salvage?
What’s left to love?
I sit alone and sing
Sing right up to the moon.
Wrapping stars around me
All the while
Screaming out my doom.
With every breathe I realize
What it is I’ve missed.
I stood blind to the world,
Holding onto limitations,
Simple imitations.
I’ll be alone,
A simply song before the play.
Never once to be used again,
Save that one single debut day.
But there’s one thing I’ve thought of…
I’m alright with that.
No sense in trying to bend people
In ways they just won’t act.
I’ll sing alone,
Like wolves can only drone.
I’ll sing alone,
On this sinking ship I am.
I’ll sing alone.
I’ll sing….
Alone.

"And for all your worth...
Wake them up.
Show them the world
And let them sleep.
Sleep and remember the world.
A world as it should be,
Away from the chaos surrounding the birth."
