Yesterday was a really nice day, so I went to the beach. It was really nice and relaxing. I like the beach. Kaya wasn't too thrilled at the idea of playing in the water, so I left her at home.

Today I was feeling a little restless, so I decided to wander through the shops in town and waste my time and money on frivolous stuff hoping that would pull me out of whatever blue funk I'm in. In the shops I found this really cute little flute-type thing. The shopkeeper said it was really something special. So I bought it.

I took it home and gave it a little try. I wasn't too impressed. I mean, it made some pretty sounds, but I didn't really see anything "special" about it. So, I set it aside and decided to try rearranging my house again.

I had a lot to do, what with changing the carpet, repainting the walls, and changing the furniture. Just as I was getting finished up, there was a knock at my door. I went to open it and found a faun standing at my doorway. He introduced himself as Faunzy and explained to me that the flute I had brought home with me belonged to him. When I played the few notes, it summoned him to my house.

So, that's what Flynn meant by "special"....

So, anyway, Faunzy challenged me to a game of rock, paper, scissors. Since I had nothing to lose, I immediately put my hand in. And I won! Way to go me. I was about to accept my prize, when Faunzy offered up another challenge: bet today's prize for a chance at a better one by doing a rematch tomorrow. Unfortunately, this restless mood of mine also makes me a bit reckless, so I was quick to accept the challenge. He gave me a sly grin and left with a promise to return sometime tomorrow.

And then, I got a note in the mail from a new friend geegee_lou, telling me to stop by and visit her home. She seems like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her around town.

So, I guess I'm feeling a little better after all....
