I already explained about Meredith and RagBrai and how I was fairly proud of her only drinking once. But now that she's back, I have to play mediator again. Meredith and Glenda are having problems with Abbey. Glenda and Abbey are pretty much through, that much is certain, but Meredith and Abbey still have a chance, especially considering that I think the "problem" is one big mistake on Meredith's part. See, Abbey's not the type to call people often, it's just not something she does. Meredith, on the other hand, always has to be in touch with everybody. So with Abbey moved in with her grandpa in Franklin, she sees Meredith less. On top of that is the said problem of her not being in the habit of calling people a lot. Because of this, Meredith thinks Abbey has abandoned her and is all sad and mopey because of it. She's also been pointedly not calling Abbey to see how long it would be before Abbey called her. Which I think is stupid. But those things aside, it is now my job to call Abbey, tell her what Meredith is feeling, see if Abbey actually doesn't want to be Meredith's friend anymore, and then go from there. Hopefully this will all turn out in the end.
