I've always quite enjoyed reading. I have a very active imagination and it doesn't take much to draw me into a story and start my mind on an adventure beyond my eyes. So, it comes as no surprise for me to say that I LOVE the books here in Gaia. Thee is something so intriguing and alluring about them.... almost MAGICAL. To say the stories come alive as you read would be a silly understatement. They have a way of not only drawing you in, but becoming alive right there where you are sitting.

I've been reading this fairy tale book to Kaya for awhile now. I like that no matter how often I read it, it seems to show me something different every time. Kaya really enjoys the story, but I don't think Pora was especially impressed. She fell asleep early on and didn't wake up until we finished reading and put the book away. Oh well, it's her loss. I'm sure she'll get into it one of these times.

After reading with Kaya in the morning, I went out to check my mail. I was hoping to hear from one of my friends since I haven't really heard much from them lately. Maybe they are all on vacation and will return soon. I hope so; I miss my friends. cry

Anyway, I didn't get any messages from my friends, but I did get a letter from the gaian government regarding the payment of my non-taxes. They wanted to send me something for making a kind and timely donation. I curiously opened the envelope to see what they sent me.....

I got another book! whee Yay! I like books! This one was some silly romance novel that normally wouldn't interest me, but being a gaian book, I was curious to see if it could draw me in and come alive before my eyes as my fairy tale book does.

Yep, it can and it does! What a fun escape! So much better than last month's "thank you". I think I'll quite enjoy this book. But I don't think I'm going to share it with Kaya or Pora just yet. I think they are still a little too young for that kind of intrigue.... wink
