WoW Update - For those interested in what I do in World of Warcraft and a reason for a journal entry, I make WoW update posts, informing people what I did playing WoW. I only get to play it, when I visit my younger brother, so this isn't a daily thing.
Anyway... I have two characters. My main character is a level 70 demonology undead Warlock (his talents are about summoning and controlling a demon, to help him kill). Due to him being level 70 (currently the highest level possible), I only have a few things left to do with him. Daily quests, instances (aka dungeons) and PvP. I'm not into PvP and instances take a long time. Due to my limited time, I just do a few dailies, then switch to my new character, a hunter.
My hunter is a blood elf and focusing on beast mastery (hunters can tame beasts to help them kill and beast master skills improve the effectiveness of the tamed beast). I've gotten her, yes she's a female character, up to level 26. When I played Saturday, I was able to get her the pet I plan to keep for the entire game. A specific spider. This spider wasn't too easy to obtain though. In WoW, there are many many monsters. Different kinds, but some are the same model, with a different skin. Lots of games do this. They have a model, but to make more monsters/enemies, they apply different skins to the model, for different looks. Anyway, in WoW, their are 3 or 4 different spider models. One of the spider models are only located in 2 areas. One is in Outlands, which is a level 50 something or higher area. The other is on an Island... which happens to be an alliance starting area. I play as horde. The spider model I wanted only comes in 3 skins and 1 of those skins is only used by 1 spider in the game. A rare spider, which only appears on that alliance island. So... to get there, I had to have my level 26 little horde literally run through an alliance town, which I died 2 or 3 times doing. Then I had to get on a boat, which brought me to the island. I then needed to avoid the other alliance NPCs and players and make my way up to where the spider is and tame it. The trip maybe took me a half hour to do, due to being on foot (no mount at level 26). Anyway, it was well worth it. I'll never get rid of my little rare spider.
