Game Preview: Carey Price will get the start and will likely be backed up by Cédrick Desjardins. They’ll be joined by fellow roster players Andrei Markov, Mike Komisarek, Francis Bouillon, Christopher Higgins, Robert Lang, Guillaume Latendresse and Tom Kostopoulos. Prospects including Mathieu Carle, Shawn Belle and P.K. Subban are expected to join the fray on the back end.
Final: Montreal wins 3-2 in a shootout against the Detroit Redwings. Andrei Markov scored on the 8th shot attempt. All of the regulation goals were scored on the Powerplay. Both teams had eight penalties each. Tomas Beauregard tied the game in the third period, while Matt D'Agostini scored the Habs' first goal in the match. Also, Matt Carle received a big hit from Tomas Kopecky. He left the ice on a stretcher but he left the ice in all counsciousness. Hope he feels better.
