I wrote her a note telling her I'm attracted to her. The next morning, she said, "I feel the same way."
Our conversation went as follows...
Her: I'm confused.
Me: How so?
Her: Well, this guy likes me, and you like me. Who do I choose?
Me: Choose whichever you want to. I'll support you. -smile-
Her: But I wanna go out with you...
Me: Er... well... uhhh...
Her: Will you be my girlfriend?
Me: ... -blushblushblush high squeaky voice- ... yes... -^______^-
When we reached the end of the hallway where we had to part, she kissed my cheek. ^_^
She invited me over on Saturday to go swimming. Her dad just brought a bunch of her stuff up from Louisiana and is staying in a hotel with a pool for a few days. It'll be fun.
I feel a whole new area of opportunity coming on.

I checked out this book from the library called One Teenager out of Ten and it's just letters that gay teens wrote and the book people published them. It's from 1983, but I can still identify with what they're talking about...
This one guy was not only disowned by his parents, but when he moved to go to another school (he had to move in with his lover) his parents locked his record so he wouldn't be able to graduate... Then they badmouthed him to his family... Then, they sent him to a psych ward... Then his lawyer dropped his case... Then, the police came and took him and his lover away because the dude's parents told the police that he was running a drugs and porno ring... When he got out of their grasp, they gave him to his parents because he was 17, and his dad beat his face until he was laying in a pile of blood... And despite all that, at the end, he wrote, "I'm lucky to have such an understanding lover..." which makes me think very highly of this "Jim..."
I feel very very fortunate to have accepting parents and friends.
