Game Preview: "Prospects will once again get to show the Bell Centre faithful what they’re made of tonight as Guy Carbonneau ices a youth-heavy lineup up front. Joining roster regulars Tomas Plekanec, Alex Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn – who will once again look to burn the opposition – are the trios of Gregory Stewart, Ben Maxwell and Thomas Beauregard, Maxim Lapierre, Olivier Fortier and Tom Kostopoulos, and Ryan Flinn, David Desharnais and Mathieu Aubin. On the back end, Andrei Markov will pair off with regular partner Mike Komisarek, Francis Bouillon will be accompanied by Ryan O’Byrne, and Yannick Weber will join Alex Henry. Henry is a question mark, though, after hurting his back in practice on Saturday. Should he not be able to go, P.K. Subban is expected to take his place." Carey Price gets the net.
Final: Oh. My. Gawd! I was at the game tonight, and it was amazing! Montreal won 3-2 in a shootout from a goal from none other than ALEX KOVALEV! Carey Price was simply phenomenal. He made one of the sickkest saves I have ever seen at the end of the period! Our team was composed of mostly youngsters like Yannick Weber, P.K. Subban, Olivier Fortier and Thomas Beauregard. We manage to cover a 2-0 deficit to prolong the game to a shootout. Weber made one heck of a goal. Top shelf after being on a two on one with Plekanec. Before that, Andrei Kostitsyn only had to push the puck in the net as it was sitting on the blue ice. Both goals were on powerplays. P.K. Subban looked like a veteran in the defensive zone. Seriously, he saved us many times.
