Strengths and Weaknesses: Her determination his her strong suit. She doesn't easily give up, but sometimes, quits too soon. Her curiosity is boundless, and can get her into trouble.
Reason for Joining the shinigami: To find her place in the afterlife, feeling like the shinigami had a calling for her.
Personality: Mitsuko is caring, thoughtful, and determined. Especially when it comes to finding her place in life. Now, she has developed a natural curiosity to the world around her. Tinkering with anything she gets her hands on. She knows there is some greater design for her. What it is, or who gave it to her, is still unknown.
Likes: Anything cute and fluffy, and tearing into a device or dead body she hasn't seen before to learn all of it's secrets.
Dislikes: People who betray or try to hurt her or her friends.
Zanpakuto: It has a rose shaped guard, with a pink sheath, and a darker pink hilt. The sheath is huge, measuring five feet in length. In it's locked form, the blade is in reality the length of the sheath, the same length as a nodachi. The spirit of the zanpakto are in fact twins. They appear together, as if creating one symbol. The first is a phoenix, seemingly rising from the ashes below, wings spread. The other, twin dragons encircling the phoenix, seemingly trying to keep it from rising. Together they look like a Caduceus.
Shikai: Shine, Kenshou! And seek the impure, Fukenkou: When released, the sword splits apart, into two smaller swords, the size of kodachi. Kenshou represents the phoenix part of the spirit. It's hilt starts from the darker pink at the guard, that the sealed form had before, but has a gradation from pink to blue down the hilt. At the end of the hilt hangs a medium blue tassel. It's abilities are much like a quincy's, able to pull spiritual energy from around the blade and into the sword itself. Though, when used, Mitsuko can transfer the energy into herself, healing herself, or into another person, healing them. Fukenkou represents the dragons of her spirit. It looks identical to Kenshou, but it's gradation is from pink at the guard, to royal purple at the tip, with a royal purple tassel at it's end. It's ability is similar to Kenshou's as well. The difference is that when Mitsuko wishes to use the energy absorbed by this blade, she can either swing it and fire shards of this energy at a target, damaging them, or she can strike the target directly with the blade, transferring the energy into them, ailing their strength, giving them sickness.
Kido: Mitsuko, having discovered her natural talent with healing, has studied mostly kido that deal with healing. Once retraining herself with Mayuri-taichou, her kido has expanded to ones that specialize in the use of spirit energy and reitsu.

History:
Before The Winter War
Mitsuko died young from an unexplained disease at the age of 16. Lost and confused as a plus for awhile, she was soon found and sent on her way. Living her life in the north rukongai, she was generally happy, though, she could never really find her niche.
During The Winter War
While the winter war raged. Though, she was never directly affected by it. When she finally did hear about what was happening inside the seireitei, she felt some sort of calling. She applied, and tried to get in. Having failed a few times, she didn't seem to give up, thinking there was some reason she felt like she needed to be in there. Finally, she passed, entering into the academy.
After The Winter War
Having studied along with others, she found it was hard to learn what they had to teach here. One day though, she mistakenly changed the way she was taught to use reitsu for kido. It resulted in the healing powers that the forth normally carry. As she discovered this power, she felt like it took no effort. Those who saw this natural talent that laid within her, helped her to learn more about it. Soon she became a member of the forth division, though, it was only recently that she was instated officially.
During the Song War:
Studying with Unohana-taichou, Mitsuko worked hard at the Forth to be able to learn more. She met other students and seated officers who she became quick friends with. Mika, her first female crush, and Shinku, her first male crush were two that constantly confused what she really wanted. After the siblings attacked, something kept calling to her, as if to sing. It wasn't until later she discovered she was one of the song bearers of legend. Afterwards, she found the secret to unlocking her shikai, and started to help in turning the tables against the siblings. During one of the final fights in the war, she used her zanpakto's abilities to draw in a large ball of energy and fire it at the last of the siblings, ending the war. Though, she was severely hurt, going into a cryogenic freeze at the Twelfth to recover the damage.
After the Song War:
Seven years after being frozen, she was freed. Though, she was unable to leave quiet yet. Though fully healed, her abilities were severely diminished, having been unable to do anything for that time. Luckily, during her stasis, Mayuri had studied her abilities. So he helped retain her, and then some for the next three years. Soon after, she was transfered to the Twelfth. Her experiences there have broadened her curiosity, with no pushing from Mayuri. She has become very fond of him, even calling him Sensei, rather than Taichou.
