3-1 Win
Game Preview: "Saku Koivu, Christopher Higgins and Alex Tanguay will all return and form one of the lines for tonight. The always dangerous trio of Tomas Plekanec, Alec Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn will be back together, again causing headaches for the opposition. The other two lines will have Robert Lang between Guillaume Latendresse and Matt D’Agostini and Kyle Chipchura centering Gregory Stewart and Tom Kostopoulos. Suiting up on the blue line: Yannick Weber, Francis Bouillon, Mathieu Dandenault, Josh Gorges, Ryan O’Byrne and Patrice Brisebois." Halak will guard the net.
Final: Montreal's Powerplay strikes doesn't look rusted at all. Three goals out of six man advantages to make 'em win 3-1. As much as I hate to say it, Patrice Brisebois did "good" tonight. One goal and two assists. Also, Saku Koivu centered Alex Tanguay and Chris Higgins and they looked great! Both wings picked up an assist each. Again, Guillaume Latendresse was creating chances, and he scored on one of them even though he was not the one that made it. Jaroslav Halak was near a shutout with 34 saves with near half a period left in the game until Zdeno Chara scored on Boston's own powerplay. Also, this was the first time Michael Ryder played against his former team.
My three Stars: 1- Patrice Brisebois 2- Jaroslav Halak 3- Guillaume Latendresse
Scoresheet: Montreal: Alex Kovalev, Patrice Brisebois, Guillaume Latendresse. Boston: Zdeno Chara.
