"Now if she does it like this will you do it like that? Now if she touches like this will you touch her right back? Now if she moves like this will you move like that?"

That's where the title on either side of the brackets comes from. The part in brackets will only make sense to a couple of people...maybe no one. Which is perfectly okay since it's for me and me alone. Speaking words to reassure yourself is a common practice in my life. And those are just words I needed to be sure I could say, without backing down....but maybe not THOSE words exactly. But that's no matter to the reader.
You know what really bites. I don't have a damn thing to talk about...and I planned on using this journal as a mock free writing place so to speak. But...everything I want to rant about I can't ran about HERE. Why? Because all the right people read it. That probably makes no sense right?
You know what I'll rant about...Steam punk. Why? Because.....
I FOUND MY MAGIC!
Steam punk.To quote my mother on how to describe it "It's little gothers who on their way to the goth club got lost in the engine room." Wikipedia describes it as "Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often set in Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date."
I can't really describe it any better to be entirely honest. But why am I so excited about this 'steam punk' thing. Outside of it likely being the perfect life style for me, and the closest this world will ever allow me to my home....my "character" is something I've always wanted to be. A time mage. What sort of time mage...well I'm working out the finer details at the moment. But....I found my magic. As close as I guess I'll get. Unless....I can convince Joseph and John to let me sleep forever in my world where magic is all there is as a constant.
Oh for those curious...my mother is joining me on the steam punk bandwagon. Her "character" is of course a pirate ><. For those curious I figured out a way to describe steam punk as I ranted. It's a do it yourself goggles, airships, pirates, brass, and clock pieces loving life. ^^
Hmmmm....this just...hmmm
We'll see if I have anything better later...
