It seemed as tho Jason from old earth had the odds stacked against him and in all retrospect...he did. He had been captured and thrust into this life of fighting for his life like some common gladiator. But this wasent like any of the gladiator fights of old he knew, these were different.
Its like the landscape had litterally transformed infront of his eyes, everything he touched every snap of a tree branch was real. Out lurking in the dakrness of the trees he knew there was his opponent from mars as heard announced. He had never met anyone from mars and was brought up to think there was no such thing as life on other planets, boy were they wrong.
In the short time he had arrived on this rock in the middle of nowere...well he couldnt classify it as a rock since he didnt know were he was. All he knew is that he had to be quiet and use the elements to his advantage. He crouched underneath a giant tree possibly the biggest that he could see he wasnt to worried with its height. He was given a knife as his weapon he didnt see what they had given the other man...if it was a man.
All of his thoughts were scambled by a rib shattering kick sending him across the ground. He rolls trying to stop and force himself to stand drawing the knife from his holster. But as he gazed at the mass approaching him he second guess what little good the knife was going to do. He was taught different, taught to find an enemies weakness instead of giving up.
Jason lunges through the air swinging wildly trying to cut the beat or even scare it if that was possible. He knew this to be a foolish attack what put the period on the end of that thought was the quick reaction the beast had. Spinning against his blade the creature backhands Jason to the ground snatching him up by the back of his shirt and throwing him further off into the jungle. He had lost track of time...he didnt know up from down or black from white, but he did know he had to win by any means necessary. This wasent just some boxing match or a wrestling match...this was a full on fight to the death...one in which he was losing.
Jason going back to his days on old earth decides to improvise and grasps onto a vine hanging a few inches from his face and wrapping it around his arm. He hoped it didnt break...its all he had to go on as he propells himself up onto the tree as he begins to circle around on the giant beast from mars. The beast snarls realizing that it had been tricked or that its food was coming faster than normal. Jasons foot crashes into the beasts temple dropping it to the ground, now is his chance.
kicking off of the tree Jason jumps further up cutting the vine and dropping the knife to retrive the falling vine end. He hoped this would work as he plumited to the ground behind the beast he started second guessing but knew this was it. With all his might he leaps up swinging the vine around the beasts massive throatplanting his feet firmly into its back yanking back with all the strength he could muster. He could feel the beasts life draining from his body as he drops to the ground but Jason was not about to be fooled.
The terrain begins to dissapear as the roar from the crowd amps up his adrenaline his eyes fill with bloodlust and the urge to end this beasts life for the enjoyment of the crowd. But he is human, the beast would surely kill him if given the chance.
"ENOUGH!" The voice booms into Jason's mind causing him to let go of the vine and fall to the ground.
"You have one Jason of old earth...perhaps there is hope for you yet."
The audiance cheers wildely at the newcomers prowess and efficiancy as the voice announces his victory he is dragged off by two burly bodygaurds in what looked to him like old fashion plate armor. Where was he was all he could think but a new thought came to mind...how will he escape?
