Oh sad! Two of my goldfish died while I was on vacation. Barrett was very sad to have to tell me the bad news.

Poor little fishies. They were so young... crying

Barrett gave me a couple little bags in memory of my goldfish. After a day or so of just holding on to the sad little bags that reminded me of my little fish, I finally got the heart to open them up.

Apparently Gaia fish don't just die, they leave behind a gift when they go. That's very thoughtful of them. My sweet little fish left me a gold watch and a gold tiara. What a special way to turn something sad into something fashionable.

I replaced the space left in the tank by the deceased goldfish with a couple of new fish. I figured it would help the other fish with their greiving process. And it seems to be working because the overall happiness of the tank is continuing to rise every day.

We'll miss the goldfish who were the first to go. And we'll enjoy the treasure they left behind.
