I sat waiting. He sat waiting. We both sat, in the carriage, at midnight, waiting.
The moon was slow. The moon was bright. The moon hid behind the clouds, making us yearn for its rays to touch us.
I waited a day. He waited a few years. We both waited for the silver sun to show us the way.
Wisps of cloud flew away. Tendrils of fog swept the ground. Evanescent memories showed us the way as the moon became clear in the sky and we no longer had to wait.
I sat, watching. He sat, gazing. Looking to one another we smiled softly and sighed, our spirits lifting and the carriage now raising us to our new home.
