The past was the past
And we're told to just forget it.
But isn't it true

Countless broken promises
Leads to many shattered dreams
Causing many tears to fall
And our hearts inside to scream.

The times you left me
Standing, all alone
Were the times i needed you
To just take me home
And the tears i cried
When you never appeared
Confirmed all my doubts,
All of my fears
It was her, wasnt it?
The one you call "best friend"
Shes the cause
For all of this to end

What to do now
As i hear you make your speech
Do i just take you back
Believing all you preached?
Or do I simply
Leave, turn around, and walk away
So youll use some other girl
For a puppet in your play?
So shatter my dreams,
Or live a lie,
Either way itll hurt me
And cause me to cry

Girls are not just toys

crappy i know...but i wanted to right a poem and/or song about this...my man and i had trouble cause of his "best friend" and while im getting over it, it still bugs me a bit. But writing helps me. And we're happy now. so yeah...
