The Angel's Fire chpt. 9
The Angel's Fire
Chapter 9

My heart pounded as I looked into the blazing eyes of Damu. His eyes shown no trace of caring or love, only hatred and power. Without thinking, I stood to my feet and ran at him.
"Purge, no!" Donna screamed.
I should've listened to her, instead I swung at Damu's face, which was in vain. He easily dodged just by bending backwards and palmed me hard in the stomach sending me flying back down.
"So......How is it possible for a mere mortal, like yourself, to appear in the relms of Hell and survive?
Or the better question is, why did you choose to come here when you know the only way out is Death." Damu smiled.
I sat up. Without even touching me, Damu threw me against the back wall and with his powers trapped me there. I struggled, but as I did, the pain in my ribs grew, causing me to scream.
"Comfortable?" Damu smirked.
"Lord Damu!"
Someone came in. He was covered in tribal tattoos and resembled Damu immensly.
"Greetings Lord Kosa. We seem to have a traitor on our hands." Damu said.
"The mortal is no traitor, he is a trespasser. There is a slight difference Damu."
"I'm not talking about the boy." Damu looked at Donna. Kosa frowned and looked at her as well.
"No! Don't you touch her!!" I screamed.
"It's not like we can KILL someone who's already DEAD. But, we can have some fun." Damu grabbed Donna's throat.
"No! Let her go you a**hole!!!!" I screamed.
Damu was infront of me before I could blink and grabbed my throat in his clutches.
"Damu..........do you......remember........the name......
Dawn Nightshade?" I screamed as he chocked me.
"She is your rotten mother who, because of her, jeapordizes my kingdom." He sneered.
"You.......loved her!" I panted, begining to get dizzy.
A slight flash of relization flashed in his eyes, but slowly faded.
"You are mistaken. I have never loved anyone. Not your foul mother, no one!" He screamed and threww me across the room. I hit the wall hard and fell onto my side, gasping for air.
"Kosa! Gather the guards into the center wing. A torture assembly is to take place."
Kosa nodded and left.
Damu walked up to me, anger in his eyes.
There was no hope any more. He doesn't rememeber........
"Purge." Damu said sternly.
"Just kill me! I give up!! Take me!" I screamed. Damu reached down,
glaring into my eyes, the red hatred smoldered.
Grasping my neck he lifted me.
"Purge!!!" Donna cried.
"I've had enough of this." Damu whispered and threw me at Donna.
She yelped in surprise as I impacted her.
She crawled over to me.
"Why didn't he kill me right there?!" I thought.
Then, before I knew what was going on, Damu picked both of us up and was running down the hall.
"What?!" I gasped.
"No time for questions. Shut your mouth." Damu sneered.
I looked at Donna who was just as confused as I was.
"How'd you get here Purge?" Damu asked.
I was shocked and no syllabul would come out.
"How did you get down here?!" He sneered louder.
"An angel named Angelus!" I gasped.
"Angelus.........He sounds familiar."
"Lord Sin, where are you taking us?!" Donna asked.
"I remember." Damu said making my heart give in.
"What?!"
"I remember. Almost everything. Dawn.........I need to get you two back safetly. For Dawn's sake." Damu whispered.
"But......I thought that if you remembered our mother you'd die again."
I whispered.
"Only regular demons actually. Since I am Sin I have the powers to create and change laws. I changed that law weeks ago." Damu actually smirked. "But you're right, if I didn't change that law, I would be dead at this moment. Now shut up."
We remained silent.
"How is Donna suppose to get back? She's dead! You killed her!" I asked.
Damu looked at Donna. She looked a little hurt.
"I'm sorry I killed you Donna, I don't know what came over me."
Donna nodded slowly.
"Purge, don't worry about Donna. I'll get her back to you. take this."
Damu handed me a small bottle.
"Drink this and you'll be able to resurface the earth. it's a lot safer then having an angel brought down here."
I took the bottle from Damu and looked at him.
He was terrifying to look at, but he really WAS a good person.
"What about you? What's going to happen?" Damu smirked.
"You mortals worry too much. You havn't seen the last of me."
I smiled and drank the bottle's content.
And when I opened my eyes, I was back on earth. With the sun shining on my face.
"Now....I have to go find Angel." I whispered.

(What will happen next? Find out in chapter 10!)
