Despite the fact that Johto is, of course, a region in the Pocket Monsters franchise, please note that this name was NOT inspired by Pocket Monsters in any way possible.
Just recently, someone (being a Pokemon fanatic) subscribed to me on YouTube, possibly assuming that I was a big Pokemon fanatic just because of the name "JohtoKen" (which is my username on YouTube). I'm not really sure why he subscribed to me or why he wants to be my friend, but as long as I have SOMEONE subscribed to me, I'm content.
What bothers me is that the guy that subbed me probably did it because of my username and not my video contents. I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but it gets to me that people that find me assume that I'm a huge Pokemon fan all because of the "Johto" part of my username. JohtoKen is actually short for Johto Kenjimara, which was a former music pseudonym that I used a few years back. There were other crazy names I came up with in the past (Jaro Kulin and Kajin Hazinori), but those never stuck as much as JohtoKen did.
Well, with those names, I guess one could say that my interests in Japanese stuff, though unrealized at the time, may have actually started way back into my Elementary days. (I made those names in the 6th grade, and I used the screen name Jaro1354 on Neopets when I was little). It was also supplemented by the Japanese imports I had for my PS1 (Metal Slug Combat School...I remember those days)...and DDR.
Now you know. I'm finished now.
