I had an research about the word VANITY from wikipedia. And it says "a form of self-idolatry, in which one rejects God for the sake of one's own image, and thereby becomes divorced from the graces of God. The stories of Lucifer and Narcissus and others, attend to a pernicious aspect of vanity
As we all know, Lucifer is not an ugly creation of God. He is an angel, a fallen angel. Divorce by God because of his betrayal in God's kingdom. He got it all. Beauty, happiness, perfection is in Him but still He weren't contented with those things. He craved to be beautiful as God, powerful as God.
All I can advised to you is don't be a perfectionist. Because none of us is perfect.
It could lead you to a sin. unrighteousness in the face of God.
