All I'd ever wanted was to love you.
If only our strings of destiny had been tied tighter together...
Then maybe we'd have been happy.
In Shinijuri, a world much different from ours, in a place much to far to imagine, there are only 12 nations and their 'planet' is very unlike ours. But, we're not here to discuss their science. We're here to talk about the tragedy between two people that bred new hope for others and as much as we both probably dislike politics, we must learn some of Shinijuris.
There is what is called 'noble families' that rule these nations, all tending to avoid war and looking down upon any uncivil acts within any family. Thus, there was established a council that rules all these nobles, which you could say in a way rule the world. Or at least sustains 'order' in it... This council establishes laws which the nobles are to carry out. The council also establishes rights, by which all people are entitled to. Thus, it is very hard to gain nobility, but it's very easy to lose it once gained, so it is protected very heavily so as not to bring such horrific shame. Over what acts nobles go to, to keep this nobility, the council is rarely forced to bring into "the light". However, once a noble family is brought into "the light" it must strive with all its might to return to the pleasant darkness, for once the councils judgmental eyes are looked upon, deep dark stains will always remain....
Of these 12 nations, there are 36 noble families. Of these 36 noble families, there are only 8 ranks that they may be labeled into. Of these 8 ranks, there are only 4 families of the most upmost nobility. Of these 4 most noble families, Byasa was born to the household of the Takemono, those 3rd in status of the upmost nobility. Of the lowest of the nobles was adopted a young boy named Daichii who came from one of the very poorest areas of the 10th nation in Shinijuri.
This, my friends, is where our tragic story begins. Byasa's father, the greatly respected and yet feared [name], knew how long it took for his family to establish it's current position and thus fought hard for it. Adding to this determination to stay at the top, was his wife [name], from the 8th most noble family of the 36 (in the 3rd rank of the 8 ). Because of this, they ruled with what the people called " fists of strength, yet peace." This was because though this great noble family had ruled this way for ages, they knew very well that their large nation was one of the most prosperous and peaceful to live in. So, the people had few complaints.
However, there is this thing as we all well know called the 7 sins, and of it, the lowest of nobles had plenty to throw at the highest of nobles. Anything to get up. Eventually, a great tragedy befall Byasa at the age of ten, where she witnessed her parents death and more. She was left alive in order to 'cause chaos' as the murderer put it. However, had it not been for her fate of meeting Daichii in the market who took a liking to her, she could've very well ended up causing the world a great more deal of trouble than she already... Well... I'll trim it down now. No need to give away too many details.
Needless to say, by comparing our world's history to theirs, we both should know by now that the high ups always sometimes get what's been coming to them, despite whether those then in charge deserved the karma of their elders mistakes. Sadly, Byasa and Daichii received it, harsh and hateful as the Gods can be, they were also sure to have the world share in it as well.
Now, Byasa is on a mission that would cause sheer terror to from and tears to just stream forth, to the most of us, just at the pure thought. Byasa must now kill the one she loves, the one who healed her scars, the one who gave her over bounding happiness... in order to give the world what it wants. Peace and a chance for the people in it, unlike them, to live a life of happiness.
Note: Daichii's thoughts are in purple, Byasa's in blue, and both in green.
I still dream of you when I sleep at night.
Despite the broken pieces of my shattered heart, I still love you.
I shouldn't, but I do... I pray for your safety.
I wanted, so very much, for us to be happy.
