Yes, the DARKNRGY. I raised a fuss in the Captain's Guild a while back, around the time of the creation of the Registered Guilds forum, taking issue with the fact that he was drawing users from Guilds (a strong community-dependent forum) into the GGNs (which were much more seperated and isolated by nature and were completely incompatible with the current Guilds community as had been evidenced by many guilds' prior experience) with that as well as other actions. Here are some of the responses I got.

The reasons for creating a high visibility forum for guilds is to funnel existing gaia forum users into guilds. There is a scalability problem where forums become so large, the movement of the front page makes it not practical. By moving users into guilds, we can sustain or even reclaim some of the high speed forums. The more microcommunities we can build, the more customized a user experience can be. And the less traffic we see in our main forums, the higher we can maintain quality.
Essentially, according to DARK, the admins want to break up the Gaia community into hundreds of "microcommunities" to deliver a better user experience, wreck my home forum, and break down the cohesiveness of the people as a whole. Whoops, did I say that second one out loud?
