Just be a friend I love Oak Knoll Middle School; therefore I try my best to make it a positive learning environment for everyone. I’m a very helpful person and I enjoy doing it if it makes someone’s day. When someone needs money for a gym suit loan I will give them money. If I don’t have any then I’ll help them find someone who does. I genuinely care about everyone. If something goes wrong with someone I immediately say a quick prayer for them and help them if I can. I do my best to include others who may be left out no matter what other people may think. I strive to follow Jesus’ example by loving others no matter what they say or do. I listen when another student needs to get something off their chest that they don’t want anyone else to know. Everything people tell me remains strictly confidential. I feel this helps to make Oak Knoll a positive learning environment because when someone feels excluded they won’t learn. I know that from personal experience. If I could give any advice to the upcoming six graders I would tell them to be a good friend to everyone; not just your crowd. Who knows that dorky kid sitting alone at the lunch table could be really cool once you get to know him. Sometimes a person can seem mean at first but it can be just a cover up. This year a girl moved to our school, and was angry about the move. She wasn’t very nice to anyone; therefore no one really talked to her. I took the initiative to get to know her, and I found out she is probably the coolest person I have ever met.
