"Don't you get it, Carly? WE'RE DEAD. We don't exist anymore!" He shouted in my face. I flinched slightly since he spit in my eyes.
Great, Sebastian slobber. Just what I needed.
Rolling my eyes, and I placed a hand on his red dress shirt's shoulder. "I know." He slapped my hand off.
"You know? Is that all you can say?" His eyes burned with rage, and what I saw as hurt. "'I know'?!"
He took a step forward, and I immediately took one back. Seb was mad, and not just mad, but really, really mad! We continued this pattern until my back was to the wall. "Sebas-"
"Don't, "Sebastian," me! For the past four months, I have dealt with your inconsiderate actions, indifferent character, and bitchy commentary, but NOW, NOW OF ALL TIMES, you still don't feel anything? WE ARE DEAD. THIS IS ALL A SICK, TWISTED GAME. Some nut job, MURDERED US, and is now using our bodies for drugs and SEX!
"Tell me right here, right now, Carly: don't you feel violated?"
I paused, actually a bit hurt by his words. Why was I affected? I'm not human. He was the one murdered and he is the one being used in the lab that I was created in. It felt uncomfortable. My expression shifted slightly, but I fixed it quickly. He caught it. "No. I'm not bugged by that."
"..." white knuckles.
"Sebastian."
"Shut up, Carly."
"...Sebastion-"
"Just... get the hell away from me." He walked away, leaving me behind in the warehouse we lived in. "I'm going out for a walk. Don't follow, and don't make any noise like last time." The sound of a clank indicated the door had closed.
I stood there for a second, the feeling my mechanic joints moving. Then my chested shuddered violently. With a small gasp, I collasped, and my breathing began to hurt.
"Sebastian..." I looked at the door, and my core ached. It hurt. "Sebastian-" I hid my eyes from the light of the moon given by the window.
A tear rolled off my cheek. Feeling the wetness, I retracted myself, and touched the source: my eyes. Was I crying? No, that can't be true. I was created in a laboratory. I am a robot made in humanity's image. But I wasn't made with water ducts.
I ducked back into my lap, and cried miserably, "Am I human?"

For years, it has always been Sebastian and Carly: just the two of them inside a world that looked very much like New York in ruins.
The two endured hell every other night. Together, they got through it in the warehouse they have lived in for as long as they could remember. Carly being sexually abused, Sebastian given drugs in his sleep. They tried to soothe the other's pain the best they could. One problem: Carly isn't human.
Then again, Carly knows everything that has happened to the two of them. She knows why she is there, why he is, why they cannot get away from this place. She was made in labortory in our world, the same lab where the real Sebastian sleeps, and waits.
But she plays innocent. As best as a robot can at least. Sebastian has no idea who Carly is... until he accidently woke up. Sebastian is then forced to open his eyes to his own past, and who he was before he forgot it all.
In the mix of things, seeing Sebastian gradually remember his past as a human, Carly can't help but feel like she's lived through it herself.
Note: Ugh, no idea. Right off the top of my head. Just goes to show you how off-track my mind is.
